Chris Henry Jr., the son of the late Bengals wide receiver Chris Henry Sr., committed to Ohio State at the Buckeyes’ SummerFest event on Friday.
“I’m committing to Ohio State, most definitely,” Henry Jr. said, per Matt Parker of On3Sports.
Henry is the Buckeyes’ first commit in the 2026 recruiting class. Currently, Henry is a wide receiver at Withrow University High School in Cincinnati.
Prior to his verbal commitment to Ohio State, he received an offer letter from the Buckeyes in June 2022.

With Joe Burrow set to miss extended time with a calf injury, the Bengals reportedly are closing in on signing another quarterback to fill in as the team moves forward in training camp.
Cincinnati plans to sign free-agent QB Reid Sinnett after bringing him in for a workout earlier in the day, NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reported Saturday. The move is expected to be made official on Sunday.
Sinnett, an undrafted prospect in 2020, will head to the Bengals after playing for the XFL’s San Antonio Brahmas in 2023.
With cornerback Jalen Ramsey out for the foreseeable future, the Dolphins are reportedly signing another defensive back with plenty of big-game experience.
Miami has agreed to a one-year contract with veteran cornerback Eli Apple, according to a Saturday afternoon report from Tom Pelissero of NFL Network.
Apple, 27, started 15 games for the Bengals last season as they advanced to their second straight AFC championship game.

The Cowboys owner doesn’t sound like someone willing to give in to Martin’s demands.
As Cowboys training camp continues to get underway, one key piece of the offense is still away from the team. Veteran offensive lineman Zack Martin did not report to training camp this week as he is unhappy with his current contract situation.
In 2023, Martin is set to make a base salary of $1.7 million, which is tied for 35th among offensive guards alone in the league, and he is due to make $13 million in total cash, which is sixth most for his position.
While Martin is away, it doesn’t appear that a new deal is any closer to happening.
Today was the NFL’s fake holiday—Back Together Weekend!—and we’re “celebrating” at two camps. First up, the Bears. Here are my takeaways from Lake Forest, Ill. …
1) The Bears restocked the receiver and linebacker positions on the veteran market, with the additions of DJ Moore, Tremaine Edmunds and TJ Edwards. And they may be even deeper in those spots than they’d anticipated, with a pair of day 3 picks—fourth-round receiver Tyler Scott and fifth-round linebacker Noah Sewell—shining early.
Adam Schefter’s phone is always ringing. As the NFL’s top news breaker, he’s always at work getting or providing the latest scoops and intel about every team, even when he’s on set for a live show.
On Saturday, viewers watching ESPN’s NFL Live: Back Together Weekend could not have witnessed a clearer view into Schefter’s life when his phone started ringing in the middle of the network’s coverage of the first weekend of training camp.
With Jonathan Taylor and the Colts still far apart on talks of an extension, the star running back’s return to Indianapolis remains firmly up in the air as his relationship with team brass reportedly continues to sour.
Taylor, who’s entering the final year of his rookie deal, has been one of several star backs engaged in an ongoing dispute with management over a new contract this offseason.
The Vikings have made former Pro Bowl defensive end Danielle Hunter available in a trade, sources told ESPN, as the two sides have been unable to agree on a new contract.
