José Siri has settled into his role as the Rays’ center fielder, frequently making stellar defensive plays for front-running Tampa Bay. However, his name can be trouble for announcers, or even listeners, if an iPhone is nearby.
Red Sox radio announcer Joe Castiglione was announcing Saturday’s Rays-Red Sox game on WEEI-FM as Siri was at the plate during a key moment in the game.
“First and second, still only one out for José Siri, four men reached base, two have scored,” Castiglione said on air.

It was the kind of Sunday that Mercedes had been waiting for.
While no one would be able to catch Max Verstappen on this day in Barcelona, as the Red Bull driver pulled away from the field to win the Spanish Grand Prix, Mercedes secured a double podium in Barcelona, their first of the field. Lewis Hamilton came in second, followed by teammate George Russell, who placed third.

Cowboys wide receiver Antonio Callaway was arrested in Miami on Saturday for an outstanding warrant for driving with a suspended license, according to Fox Sports 640’s Andy Slater.
This isn’t the first time Callaway has been arrested for a driving on a suspended license. During his rookie season in 2018 with the Browns, the wide receiver was cited for marijuana possession and driving with a suspended license, per NFL.com.
That same season, Callaway was found to have violated the NFL’s substance abuse policy, causing him to be suspended for the first four games of the 2019 season.
College baseball’s weirdest windup likely had its career come to a close on Saturday. Zane Robbins had his senior season end in Nashville and may not return after graduation.
Who is Zane Robbins? Let me introduce you.
Although I rarely break the third wall in my articles, it is necessary in this instance to provide the full context of why I’m writing this. Robbins came onto my radar on Saturday, in what was probably his last game.

Aaron Judge had quite the performance Saturday in Los Angeles, as the reigning AL MVP hit a home run and robbed J.D. Martinez of extra bases while running through the outfield wall while making a tremendous catch.
So Judge was the obvious choice for player of the game, as the Yankees beat the Dodgers, 6-3, to even the series. After the game, Judge was pulled aside for an interview with Fox’s Ken Rosenthal, which resulted in a funny visual.
Judge is listed at 6’7”, while Rosenthal claims to be 5’4 1/2” tall on his Twitter bio.
The doubles tandem of Japan’s Miyu Kato and Indonesia’s Aldila Sutjiadi was disqualified from French Open competition Sunday after Kato accidentally struck a ball girl with a tennis ball between points.
After a point in the second set, Kato hit the ball over the net to the opposing team of the Czech Republic’s Marie Bouzkova and Spain’s Sara Sorribes Tormo. However, the ball instead hit one of the ball girls standing to the rear of the court.
The chair umpire of the match, Alexandre Juge, initially gave a warning to Kato.
For reasons obvious only to former Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers, he recently went on the record recently with TheAthletic.com for another airing of Green Bay grievances. Among other things, Rodgers continues to cling to the clunky notion that his failure to be responsive to efforts to reach him were not intentional.
The NFL offseason is the time for players to get into the best shape of their lives as they prepare for training camp. Although those statements are often overstated, occasionally a player really does show up to the team facility in amazing physical condition and turns heads.
As the Giants held organized team activities this week, tight end Daniel Bellinger wound up creating a stir on social media. The second-year tight end appears to have put on muscle since the season ended, and he showed off his updated physique as the team performed its offseason work.
