Jeff Van Gundy turned heads on Wednesday when he proposed some major rule changes for the NBA, with the goal of speeding the game up.
Among the rule changes Van Gundy floated was to eliminate free throws until the final four minutes of a game, suggesting players would just receive the points instead of taking trips to the line.
Additionally the 61-year-old suggested the NBA does away with halftime, or at the very least, shorten it.
His suggestions caught the eye of Trail Blazers star Damian Lillard, who shared his thoughts on one of Van Gundy’s proposed adjustments.

Ever wondered how breast milk tastes? If so… keep it to yourself.
New York Knicks guard Josh Hart outed himself as a breast milk fantasizer after asking his followers on Twitter Tuesday whether they’ve tried breast milk before.

It did, however, creep out longtime hoops teammate Jalen Brunson to the point where he unfollowed Hart on social media and encouraged others to do the same.

This is the time of year when NFL fans overreact to practices. It’s also the time when NFL writers overreact to practice (guilty). But Kansas City Chiefs fans are going nuts over one video of one pass from Patrick Mahomes to Justyn Ross.
In case you forgot the name, Ross played for Clemson from 2018-21. He starred in the 2019 National Championship, catching six passes for over 150 yards and a score in the Tigers 44-16 win over Alabama.
Ross followed up a freshman season in which he recorded exactly 1,000 yards receiving with another 865 yards as a sophomore.
