The New York Knicks had their season come to an end Friday night with a Game 6 loss to the Heat in Miami.
Jalen Brunson and Co. looked so good in their first-round win over the Cavaliers but seemed out of sorts in too many games against Miami. Now they’re off on vacation while the Heat are off to face the Boston Celtics in the Eastern Conference finals.
ESPN’s Stephen A. Smith is a big Knicks fan, and recently, he spent many days on “First Take” yelling about how this could be the Knicks’ year to win their first championship since 1973.

It’s no secret that Quinnen Williams is seeking a lucrative contract extension from the Jets.
While other defensive linemen, such as the Giants’ Dexter Lawrence, the Titans’ Jeffrey Simmons and the Commanders’ Daron Payne all signed new deals this offseason, Williams, who’s entering the final year of his current deal, still is waiting for his payday.
Williams has made it known he wants a new contract in many ways, including by skipping the Jets’ offseason workouts. On Monday, he continued to nudge the team by changing his twitter bio and removing a reference to the Jets.

I do think the in-game interview should be kept light and fun. ESPN’s Karl Ravech seems to differ on that philosophy, because here’s what he asked Red Sox first baseman Triston Casas, who was miked up for ESPN’s St.

The college athletics world has seen its share of bad news over the past year, whether it be the tragic loss of life at Alabama and Georgia, or players getting into trouble. In the case of who’s to blame, Charles Barkley feels it shouldn’t go towards the coaches.
There are arguments on both sides this topic, with a number of examples. The tragedy at Georgia, when sophomore lineman Devin Willock lost his life, along with Bulldogs staffer Chandler LeCroy, in a car crash after Georgia celebrated its national championship hits hard.

The Suns parted ways with coach Monty Williams on Saturday night, two days after the team’s second-round playoff exit, but the 2021 NBA Coach of the Year already appears to have employment opportunities for next season.
Three teams already are interested in pursuing Williams, per The Athletic’s Shams Charania: the Bucks, Pistons and Raptors.
Charania reported that Williams still has three years and $21 million left on his Suns contract, so other teams must request permission to contact him.
