The Jets had a bit of a chip on their shoulder heading into Sunday’s matchup against the Broncos, following some critical offseason comments from Sean Payton. After a 31–21 win at Mile High Stadium in Denver, New York celebrated fittingly. 
Star cornerback Sauce Gardner didn’t pull any punches on social media after the victory, hilariously trolling veteran quarterback Russell Wilson, who struggled in the game.
“Jets Country……. LETS RIDE,” wrote Gardner on X, alongside a horse emoji.

BAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! Denver Broncos head coach Sean Payton had A LOT to say about Nathaniel Hackett, the team’s previous head coach. Hackett, now the New York Jets offensive coordinator, was fired during his first season with the Broncos last year.
Things fell apart for Hackett later in the year, as the Broncos actually started 2-1. They lost the next four games and eventually fired him after dropping to 4-11.
But after five games, Hackett’s Broncos were 2-3. That’s one-game better than Payton’s Broncos, who are 1-4 after losing to the Jets. At home.

The New York Jets upset the Broncos on Sunday in Denver and in the process, won an emotional victory for offensive coordinator Nathaniel Hackett.
Hackett was fired by the Broncos last year after a dreadful start, before eventually landing with the Jets. 
Hackett’s successor in Denver, Sean Payton, had been publicly critical of the job Hackett did with the Broncos.
“It doesn’t happen often where an NFL team or organization gets embarrassed,” Payton said of the 2022 Broncos. “And that happened here.
