Colorado linebacker Brendan Gant might be in some trouble after his emotions boiled over Saturday against Oregon.
The Ducks handed the Buffaloes their first loss of the season in humiliating fashion. The score was 42-6 by the time the clock hit zero.
Well, things got worse for Gant once the game ended. He was filmed ripping off an Oregon fan’s bandana and throwing it into the stands.
In the video, the fan didn’t even appear to be facing Gant and was certainly not presenting himself in a threatening manner when the incident occurred.

The Braves’ Sean Murphy is one of the best power-hitting catchers in the majors. He’s so good, in fact, that he can hit a ball over the fence even when he’s left holding just a toothpick.
Murphy has a career high 21 homers this season, ranking tied for fifth among MLB catchers. His most recent dinger came in the first game of Sunday’s doubleheader against the Nationals. In the ninth inning, Murphy turned on a fastball that Washington reliever Kyle Finnegan left over the heart of the plate and sent it over the wall in center.
Jets superfan and ESPN personality Mike Greenberg let his fandom shine Monday morning when he made a bold statement regarding his favorite team’s quarterback situation by saying the Zach Wilson era should end.
“He cannot be out on the field ever again for the Jets, and I’m going to tell you why,” Greenberg said on ESPN’s Get Up on Monday. “Their chances of winning anything this year are over. They’re not remote. They’re done. They need to try and keep this thing together, and if they run Zach Wilson out there one more time, [wide receiver] Garrett Wilson’s gonna lose it.

Bryson DeChambeau won his second LIV Golf event in as many months, thus prompting him to speak about the Ryder Cup after his victory.
Bryson DeChambeau continues to feel slighted.
After shooting an 8-under 63 Sunday, DeChambeau won the LIV Golf Chicago event by one stroke over Anirban Lahiri and Marc Leishman.
To say the Broncos had a rough day at the office defensively Sunday would be an understatement.
Denver’s defense was completely shredded in historic fashion by the Miami Dolphins offense, conceding 70 points in a 50-point blowout loss. That’s the most points surrendered by an NFL team since 1966. And while the Broncos’ offense didn’t help matters with turnovers that gave Miami short fields, it was still an ugly defensive performance. Miami tallied a whopping 726 yards from scrimmage and scored touchdowns on eight of its first nine full drives of the game.
Josh McDaniels’ brainless field goal decision cost the Raiders in Week 3.
The Las Vegas Raiders were starting to mount a fourth quarter comeback against the Pittsburgh Steelers in Week 3 when head coach Josh McDaniels faced a critical fourth down decision late in the game.
The Raiders had the ball inside the Steelers’ 10-yard-line staring at a fourth-and-four with 2:25 remaining in regulation in a game they trailed 23-15. Las Vegas needed a touchdown and the two-point conversion for the tie. For some reason, McDaniels elected to kick a field goal instead.
Phillies relief pitcher Orion Kerkering excelled in his MLB debut on Sunday against the Mets, and his family was in the stands at Citizens Bank Park to witness it.
Kerkering entered the game in the eighth inning and faced three batters, recording two strikeouts in the process.
After the 22-year-old struck out pinch hitter Rafael Ortega to end the inning, the broadcast camera scanned to Kerkering’s father, Todd, in the crowd. He stood up with the rest of the Phillies fans and cried.
“It was an awesome moment. It was a real moment,” Kerkering said after the game, via MLB.
It’s no secret that Zach Wilson has struggled mightily to start his NFL career. But if his play keeps up, he will make history for all the wrong reasons.
At the end of the 2022 season, Wilson became the first player since the NFL merger to record the worst passer rating in the NFL two years in a row. Now, after Week 3 of the 2023 season, Wilson is once again at the bottom of the league in that category.
Wilson was selected with the No. 2 pick in the 2021 NFL draft to be New York’s savior, but he finished his rookie year with just a 69.
Good morning, I’m Dan Gartland. I didn’t think I could muster 500 words on the biggest story of Week 3, so let’s look at the Dolphins instead.
In today’s SI:AM:
🐬 Is Miami a Super Bowl contender?
🦬 Down goes Colorado
⚾ Crunch time for the Astros
Miami’s big statement
When the NFL season began, two teams dominated the discussion of AFC East contenders: the Jets and Bills. But there’s another team making a case that it could be not just the best in the division, but maybe also the best in the conference.
The Buffalo Bills’ attempt at trolling the Washington Commanders after a 37–3 win Sunday didn’t quite go as planned.
Following the blowout victory, the Bills’ social media team tweeted out a picture of a crushed can of Maryland staple Old Bay seasoning to announce the win, even using the caption “a spicy W.” The only problem: Old Bay is a classic Baltimore item, rather than Washington D.C. And while the Commanders do play their home games at FedEx Field in Maryland, it’s clear based on fans’ reaction that the joke didn’t quite land as planned.
