Good morning, I’m Dan Gartland. Waking up to freezing temperatures this morning really drove home the fact that baseball season is over.

Following the 76ers’ move to trade disgruntled guard James Harden to the Clippers, Philadelphia now believes the assets received in the deal will allow it to pursue another “high-level guard,” ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski reported earlier this week.
One name that’s already being floated is Bulls guard Zach LaVine, and Sports Illustrated’s Chris Mannix cited some chatter around the 76ers’ potential interest in the 28-year-old.
But that reported interest in LaVine—regardless of how serious it is, may run into a brick wall from Chicago’s front office.
Of the nine weeks to date in the NFL season, this might be the best.
We start off early over in Europe, with the Chiefs technically hosting the Dolphins in a key AFC showdown. Both enter the game 6–2 with the winner sitting atop the conference standings while also owning what might be a massive tiebreaker.
Then, we see the Ravens and Seahawks battle in the early window. Both have only lost two games this year and yet hold slim leads in their respective divisions. Speaking of tight leads, the Eagles are 1.

This deal could become a mess.
The Chicago Bears made a splash during the NFL trade deadline, landing pass rusher Montez Sweat for a second round pick. Sweat is a really good player, and the compensation wasn’t completely off for a 27-year-old pass rusher — however, one detail that emerged on Wednesday completely changes how we can look at this deal.
Newest Chicago #Bears DE Montez Sweat indicated that he’s not currently ready to sign an extension. “I just want to consider everything around me before I make a decision.

Tom Mars, the lawyer of Michigan coach Jim Harbaugh, posted a cryptic tweet directed at ESPN after a report was quickly furnished by the outlet regarding the contents of a conference call held on Wednesday among Big Ten coaches.
“Reading lots of reports this morning about ’emotional’ private conference call yesterday with Big Ten commissioner, head coaches, and everyone who works for ESPN. 🙄,” Mars posted on X.

Jordan Poole on the Wizards is pure chaos.
The Jordan Poole: Washington Wizard experience is going to be must-see TV. Poole was traded from the Golden State Warriors to the Wizards over the offseason as Washington started a massive rebuild by tearing down the roster.
For Golden State, trading Poole brought back Chris Paul, and also hoped to serve as addition by subtraction.
Here we go, the SEC will have its day to shine on Saturday as Georgia will face its second ranked opponent of the college football season in No.12 Missouri. Just five hours west, 14th ranked LSU will look for back-to-back wins against 9th ranked Alabama in a massive rematch.
This is the beginning of a massive month of November for the conference that’s looking to win its fourth straight national championship.

Why Logan Sargeant might be breathing a sigh of relief today
Ahead of the São Paulo Grand Prix, Aston Martin made a little bit of news. The team confirmed on Thursday that Felipe Drugovich would return as their test and reserve driver for the 2024 season. Drugovich currently serves in that role for the team this season.
In addition, Drugovich will participate in the first practice session ahead of the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, driving in place of veteran Fernando Alonso.

The Texas Rangers have spent over $800 million in free agency over the past two offseasons. After winning the World Series, it was all worth every single penny.
After 52 seasons that started with the old Washington Senators moving from Washington D.C. to a frying pan of a baseball stadium in Arlington, Texas where they were fated to spend decades scratching and clawing for simple relevancy, the Texas Rangers have finally become the most relevant team in all of baseball.
