These are the trades we want to see before the Halloween trade deadline
It wasn’t long ago that the NFL Trade Deadline was the most-hyped date on the NFL calendar where nothing actually happened — but now things are different. Teams have never been more disposed to making player deals around the league, and in recently years we’ve actually seen some major deals go down in the week leading up to the deadline.
In 2022 this was headlined by Christian McCaffrey being dealt to the 49ers, but he wasn’t the only one.

There’s a good chance you were busy with more pressing matters, but Game 4 of the WNBA Finals was last night, and Mark Davis’ Vegas team won the series for their second-straight championship.
That’s all well and good, but the important thing is that the win allowed Mark Davis to dust off his dancing shoes.
The man’s moves are every bit as interesting as his haircut.
After defeating the New York Liberty, the Aces circled around the dude who signs their paychecks (probably smart) and right on cue, Davis started cutting a rug…

After the Europeans trounced the Americans at the Ryder Cup, Stefan Schauffele, Xander’s father, commented on the competition’s financials.
In doing so, he called for more transparency from the PGA of America, the organization that facilitates the Ryder Cup from the American side.

Even with a protective mask, getting hit in the face with by a pitch would be jolting. But that’s one of the hazards of working behind home plate, which umpire James Hoye was reminded of during Game 3 of the American League Championship Series on Wednesday night. 
Facing the Rangers’ Nathaniel Lowe in the bottom of the seventh inning, Astros pitcher Hector Neris threw a 93-mph fastball that catcher Martin Maldonado didn’t quite get. The ball ricocheted off Maldonado’s mitt and into Hoye’s mask.

The Rangers have found some inspiration from an unlikely source during their postseason run—the rock band Creed, who had quite a run in the late 1990s and early 2000s. 
Texas has been playing Creed songs before games, and they had seemed to help motivate the team to win. Well, until Wednesday night, that is, as they lost their first game of the 2023 playoffs, falling at home to the Astros, 8–5, in Game 3 of the ALCS.
