Bad news for fans hoping to see the GOAT in action.
Lionel Messi makes his debut for Inter Miami on Friday night, and it’s the most-hyped debut in the history of U.S. domestic soccer. Tickets have been sold out for weeks, and are fetching huge money on the secondary market, where the cheapest available tickets are up to $179 — soaring from their pre-Messi price of $29.
Naturally everyone is hyped to see one of the greatest of all time, and if you’re in an MLS city you’ve probably already looked for tickets to see when Inter Miami is visiting.

The last three Super Bowl winners all performed poorly against the spread last season.
The Buccaneers were overvalued, the Rams fell off and the Chiefs, who went on to win their second ring within the last four years, played a lot of tight games but almost always came out on top. Those three teams were all bad to bet on week-to-week, though to varying degrees and for different reasons.
Let’s review the five teams with the worst records against the spread (ATS) in 2022. Perhaps they should be faded in the fall or they’re due for a resurgence in a new season.

Jon Rahm’s opening round at The Open didn’t exactly go as planned Thursday, but it wasn’t his 3-over 74 that had him fuming after his opening 18 holes at Royal Liverpool.
Given that he is the No. 2 ranked player in the world, the Spaniard is used to being a part of featured group coverage just about every time he tees it up in a tournament. That featured group coverage hits a bit differently when you’re playing alongside Rory McIlroy across the pond, however, and Rahm officially hit his boiling point on the 18th hole.

Through the cellular phone, his voice still booms at age 69 and battle torn – literally.
You can hear Eli Gold’s same crystal clear vocal chords that beamed across the land on January 8, 2018:
“Here’s Tua stepping back, loads up, looks long, throws, end zone, TOUCHDOWN, ALABAMA! DeVonta Smith, Touchdown Alabama. And the Crimson Tide has once again ascended the top of the college football mountain. The fifth national championship in nine years (26-23 over Georgia in overtime). Their 17th overall.

Marlins third base coach Jody Reed suffered a broken right leg on Wednesday after outfielder Jesus Sanchez hit a rope down the line that caught Reed in the shin.
The exit velocity of the foul ball off Sanchez’s bat was a crisp 96.6 miles per hour, probably enough to crack any shin. To Reed’s credit, he hopped around for quite a while, as he tried to shake off the pain.
Miami manager Skip Schumaker addressed the incident after the game, acknowledging that Reed was hurt pretty bad by the line drive.
“He’s going to be down,” Schumaker said.

Immediately after the sale, ESPN’s Don Van Natta reported the new ownership group would strongly consider changing the name from Commanders. While appearing on the TODAY show, Johnson confirmed a new name could be in play for the team after this season.

A look back at the brilliance of Spurs legend Manu Ginobili.
Last off-season, I spent the entirety of my basketball life working on a mini-series called “Blazing the Trail.” In that series, we focused on 10 players with skill sets that made them ahead of their time. Guys like Rashard Lewis, Reggie Miller, and Chauncey Billups were all subjects of analysis.
However, one notable omission was Argentina’s Flying Man, Manu Ginobili.
