The New York Knicks find themselves down 3-1 in their series against the Miami Heat after dropping their last two games by a combined 27 points. Both losses came in Miami, and ESPN’s Mike Greenberg seems to believe the hot weather in South Florida has taken its toll on the Knicks.
Reflecting on the Knicks’ 109-101 loss during Tuesday morning’s edition of ‘Get Up,’ the New York sports homer made his case that the hot temperatures in Miami are somehow affecting the Knicks’ chances.

Lakers top Warriors, 104-101, now one game away from Conference Finals
Those plucky Lakers. Always finding ways to pull out a win, even when the man making it possible is the unlikeliest source. Yes, LeBron James and Anthony Davis did their parts, per usual, scoring 27 and 23 points, respectively, with Davis pulling down a game-high 15 rebounds.
Down 3-1 against the Lakers, Golden State finds itself in a predicament similar to the one it faced in 2016.

I’ve called it the “Curse of Barry Sanders.”
In 1989, the Lions drafted Sanders with the third overall pick in the NFL draft. He went on to become one of the greatest running backs not only in the history of the NFL, but also in the world of fantasy football.
The Buccaneers announced Tuesday they are signing former Rams quarterback John Wolford. The details of the deal are unknown at this time.
Wolford now joins a quarterback room that consists of 2021 second-round pick Kyle Trask and former Browns quarterback Baker Mayfield as the team looks for its new starting signal-caller to replace Tom Brady, who recently retired.
The 27-year-old went undrafted out of Wake Forest in 2018 but signed with the Jets that offseason. He wasn’t there for long and was cut that September.
The NBA on TNT crew continues to be the best part of the playoffs by bringing fans all sorts of good laughs every night they’re on TV.
That continued Monday night when Shaquille O’Neal had Charles Barkley, Kenny Smith and Ernie Johnson all laughing at him over his bad math about the Knicks and how many sets of clothes they would need to bring to Miami if they were able to force a Game 6.
Shaq thought he was making a great point but then his pals quickly let him know that he was just a little off in his assessment.

The Lakers are without a doubt one of the best and funniest stories in the NBA this season. It was only a few months ago that this team was legitimately one of the worst in the league, looking for trades and answers to right the ship — even then the consensus back then was that they didn’t do enough.
Now Los Angeles are one game away from the Western Conference Finals, and legitimately feel like the hottest team in the NBA.
