West Virginia named former assistant Josh Eilert as interim head coach of the men’s basketball team for the 2023-24 season on Saturday. The Mountaineers chose to punt its nationwide coaching search until next offseason in an effort to keep the current roster together.

Ever since the Reds called up top prospect Elly De La Cruz, Cincinnati has been one of the hottest teams in the major leagues. The Reds won 12 consecutive games from June 10-23, and De La Cruz has recorded a gaudy 1.063 OPS in his first 16 games.
Longtime Reds star Joey Votto made his season debut during that winning streak, and the first baseman got to see De La Cruz play in person for the first time. The veteran went so far as to make a remarkable comparison for the switch-hitting infielder.
“This is extreme, but has there been a better switch-hitting, speed-power guy?” Votto said.

Antonio Brown’s last NFL game is a memorable one, as the wide receiver infamously removed his jersey and stormed off the field during a game against the Jets at the end of the 2021 season. The Buccaneers were down 14 points to the Jets late in the third quarter when a shirtless Brown decided it was time to head to the locker room.
Tampa Bay released Brown a few days later, while the wide receiver contended that the team forced him to play through an ankle injury. He hasn’t played since.

Here are our favorite team and player fits from the 2023 NBA Draft.
It’s foolish to judge a selection in the NBA draft exclusively on present day fit. Rosters around the league change far too quickly for that, especially when 19 of the 30 first round picks in the 2023 NBA Draft were teenagers. It’s going to take years before we can properly evaluate how teams did in this draft as the players in the class slowly grow into their bodies and into their games.
That doesn’t mean hope for immediate returns should be disregarded.
