It’ll always stick with him, as unfortunate as it is.
Former Atlanta Falcons and Indianapolis Colts QB Matt Ryan made his color commentary debut on Sunday, commentating on the Sunday afternoon game between the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Minnesota Vikings.
Naturally, on his debut, multiple subtle shots were going to be taken, especially for the QB behind the greatest collapse in NFL history. When the play by play announcer saw his chance to take the shot, he sure didn’t miss.
Head coach Bill Belichick wasn’t interested in discussing a key decision that backfired in the Patriots’ Week 1 loss to the Eagles
We’ve seen a ton of bad calls made by Major League Baseball umpires this season, and that continued in Sunday’s Pirates–Braves game when home plate umpire Bill Miller called an obvious ball a strike, which led to Ke’Bryan Hayes striking out one pitch later.
Hayes was rightfully not happy with Miller and tried to talk to him about it after the game. Their brief conversation was just an awful look for baseball and all of the umpires who are working games.
Hayden said on social media that Miller didn’t take any accountability for what happened.
We were wrong.
That’s the only reasonable conclusion we can come to at this point, after Tua Tagovailoa and Mike McDaniel did it again; after they outshot another great quarterback, broke your fantasy football scoring system and proved their offense is harder to kill than a plastic houseplant.
We were wrong to doubt the quarterback, to paint him as injury prone, to diminish him as a product of the system, to take digs at his fitness.
This New York Giants played an appalling first quarter of football in their season debut against the Dallas Cowboys at home.
It may be too early to overreact but the Cowboys have pummeled the Giants so badly to start Sunday’s primetime game that it’s time to pull all stock in Big Blue.
After a 10-play, 48-yard march to start the game, the Giants rolled out the newly paid Graham Gano to kick a 48-yard field goal attempt.
Giants Struck By Terrible Luck To Start Cowboys Game
It was a sure distance for Gano, but Dallas’ defense had different plans.

FIRST QUARTER: THE MESS IN EAST LANSING
On Oct. 30, 2021, Mel Tucker (1) and Michigan State were on top of the world. The Spartans defeated hated rival Michigan 37–33 in a wildly entertaining game in a raucous Spartan Stadium, improving to 8–0 on the season and rising to No. 3 in the AP poll.
Thomas made his NFL debut Sunday two years after his final college snap at Georgia Tech. He made the most of it.
Fresh off a trade from the Miami Dolphins, Noah Igbinoghene makes the first big play of the year for Dallas
If you had Noah Igbinoghene scoring the first touchdown of the 2023 NFL season for the Dallas Cowboys, come down and collect your prize.
And thank you for reading SB Nation, Noah.
Indeed the former first-round selection by the Miami Dolphins, who was traded to the Cowboys prior to the start of the 2023 season, scored the first touchdown of the campaign for Dallas.
Packers quarterback Jordan Love may be the new sheriff in town, but the first-year starter endeared himself to cheeseheads everywhere Sunday after leading his team to another dominant win over the Bears.
A 38–20 Packers victory in Chicago saw Love out-duel Justin Fields to finish the day 15–of–27 for 245 yards and three touchdown passes. The lopsided contest marked the ninth-straight victory for the Packers and coach Matt LaFleur, who’s never lost to the Bears, over their NFC North rival.
