Expectations for Colorado quarterback Shedeur Sanders were fairly high after his impressive run playing for his father Deion at Jackson State. Of course, as with any high-profile transfer up from the FCS to FBS Power 5 level, questions remained about how he would handle a higher level of competition.
Based on one game against last year’s College Football Playoff runner-up, Sanders has provided some strong answers.
Sanders broke the Buffaloes single-game passing yard record in his debut, throwing for 510 yards and four touchdowns in the 45–42 win.

American men’s tennis is having a bit of a moment.
While the American women have shined on the main stage for years, the last Grand Slam winner from the United States on the men’s side came back in 2003. That year, Andre Agassi won the Australian Open to start the season, while Andy Roddick secured the U.S. Open to close out the year.

The Broncos traded a lot of capital and gave Russ a lot of money, for year one to be horrendous. What can Sean Payton do to revive Russ’ career?
To say that this is a critical year for Russell Wilson and the Denver Broncos is an understatement. Major League Baseball has had some issues with bad umpiring this season. That continued in Sunday’s Mariners–Reds game when Cincinnati pitcher Sam Moll needed to throw five strikes to finally get an out, which he rightfully didn’t seem to be too happy about.

These are the NFL scheme trends that will define the season.
With all 32 NFL teams having finalized their rosters for the upcoming season, we know who will be playing where when the year finally begins.
But what will those players be doing?
The NFL’s schematic wars are never-ending. Football is a game of adjustments, responses, and adjustments to those responses. An offense starts doing something that works, the other 31 teams follow suit, defenses figure out an answer, and then the offenses work on their adjustments to that defensive solution.
