Joey McGuire only has coached the Texas Tech football team for one season, but he impressed fans with an 8-5 record and a Texas Bowl victory in 2022. Now, as he prepares for the upcoming season, McGuire is entertaining fans by fulfilling a promise from months ago.
In April, Texas Tech football’s official Twitter account posted a call to action for fans, pledging that McGuire would climb a massive crane being used for stadium renovations if its post got 3,000 retweets. McGuire seemed pretty enthused by the idea, adding a “Let’s Gooooooooo!!!!!!!” to his agreement.

NFL agent Drew Rosenhaus shared a video on Tuesday from a fishing trip he was on alongside star Dolphins wide receiver Tyreek Hill. 
While on the trip, Rosenhaus could be seen in the water alongside a shark, getting up close to the animal while next to the fishing boat.
Rosenhaus proceeded to grab the shark by its tail and pose for videos and photos while in the water. The shark, which an expert described as not being fully healthy, barely reacted to the agent’s actions.

Miami Dolphins wideout Tyreek Hill has been named in an investigation by the Miami-Dade Police Department concerning a physical altercation over Father’s Day weekend.
According to Miami’s Local 10 News, Hill allegedly hit an employee working at Haulover Marina, a charter company in South Florida.
The 29-year-old player reportedly assaulted the man on Sunday during a dispute. No arrests have been made, and Tyreek Hill has not made any remarks regarding the allegation.
Hill was spotted hanging out with NFL super-agent Drew Rosenhaus on Monday in a social media video of the two out at sea.

Damian Lillard is a popular subject as NBA trade rumors swirl this offseason.
Despite the fact that several teams are rumored to have interest in Lillard, the Trail Blazers intend to keep the All-Star point guard and are crafting a “compelling package” to acquire Heat center Bam Adebayo, according to Jake Fischer of Yahoo Sports.
However, for Miami to consider an offer for its defensive anchor, Portland would have to include shooting guards Shaedon Sharpe and Anfernee Simons and the No. 3 pick in Thursday’s NBA draft in the deal, according to Fischer.

Former Bills punter Matt Araiza said he plans to sue attorney Dan Gilleon for defamation in regard to a civil lawsuit filed by Gilleon that alleged Araiza took part in a gang rape last year, Araiza said in an interview with Real Sports with Bryant Gumbel that will air Tuesday night.
The Bills released Araiza in August after he was accused of raping a 17-year-old girl along with two of his former San Diego State football teammates near the school’s campus in the fall of 2021.

New England Patriots cornerback Jack Jones was in a Boston courtroom on Tuesday where he pleaded not guilty to a host of gun charges.
Jones was arrested at Logan International Airport last Friday when security discovered two guns in his carry-on luggage.
According to ESPN, Jones’ arraignment took place at the East Boston Municipal Court. The Patriots cornerback — who wrapped up his rookie season in January — posted $30,000 cash bail and will be back in court in August.
That date — scheduled for August 19 — will be a probable cause hearing.
