The A’s hosted the Guardians on Tuesday night for their fifth game of the 2023 MLB season, though just about no one in Oakland was watching. The RingCentral Coliseum drew a shockingly low attendance for the A’s clash against Cleveland, with a recorded 3,407 fans “filling” the stadium.
According to JJ Cooper of Baseball America, the attendance in Oakland was fewer than that of 11 of the 13 Triple A games that took place on the same evening. Of those 11, four drew more than twice the in-attendance audience than the Athletics.

The Oregon Ducks have apparently set their priorities with regards to realignment, and it’s winning.
That’s according to a new report from John Canzano on his Substack. Canzano goes into detail on the current deliberations around the Pac-12, and specifically Oregon.
Conference leadership is currently negotiating a new media rights deal, which has seemingly taken longer to complete than expected.
Some analysts have already predicted the conference could struggle significantly to find a linear television partner.

An 18-year-old man was arrested Tuesday for trying to break in to Michael Jordan’s house in Highland Park, Ill. 
Raiden K. Hagedorn was charged with three misdemeanors of criminal trespass to occupied residence and two counts of criminal damage to property, per the Lake & McHenry County Scanner.
The Highland Park police department found Hagedorn at the Bulls legend’s Chicagoland home on Tuesday after neighbors called about a burglary in progress.
Hagedorn was taken to the local jail, but was later released on bond. The 18-year-old is expected to appear in court on April 20.

Eli Manning joined The Pat McAfee Show on Wednesday to discuss the future of the ManningCast, which he says won’t change anytime soon.
Eli and his older brother, Peyton, have done a weekly telecast during Monday Night Football that has proven to be a successful alternative to the main broadcast.
“We’ve stayed pretty true to what the original plan was,” Eli told McAfee. “We wanted to make it feel like what it’s like to sit on the couch with Peyton and I and watch a football game. That’s still the idea.

The 34 year-old oft-injured signal-caller started off by stating “there are not 32 guys better than me”, but then quickly pivoted to indicate his interest in serving in a potential backup role.
