An investigation has been launched in the Dominican Republic, targeting Tampa Bay Rays shortstop Wander Franco over an alleged relationship with a minor.
The case is separate from MLB and Tampa Bay’s investigation of a similar case involving Franco, stemming from social media posts that circulated over the weekend.

Lionel Messi once again left soccer fans in awe of his skills on Tuesday night.
In his just his sixth game with Inter Miami CF, Messi scored his ninth goal since joining the club in incredible fashion in the Leagues Cup showdown against the Philadelphia Union.
After receiving a pass from Josef Martinez, Messi made several soft touches on the ball, before racing toward the Union goal. The global superstar then launched a rocket to the far post from 30-plus yards out.

Luis Robert’s latest comments won’t help quell concerns over a potential culture issue within the White Sox’s clubhouse.

Rays ace Shane McClanahan will undergo Tommy John surgery on Monday and likely miss the entire 2024 MLB season, according to Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times.
