It’s deja vu all over again! Jordan Spieth beat Patrick Cantlay in a playoff to win last year’s RBC Heritage. On Sunday, the two are part of a final round trio that includes Matt Fitzpatrick battling for the title again this year.
The two entered hole 13 tied for the lead at 16-under, but Jordan Spieth took a two-shot lead with a birdie, while Cantlay made bogey. The two men stepped up to the tee on the par-3 14th hole and both pushed their shots to the left of the green.
Spieth went first and showed just how tough the shot was, racing his ball past the hole by about 13 feet.

The Clippers received a discouraging update on star Paul George’s status on Sunday ahead of their first-round series against the Suns in Phoenix.
George is reportedly “likely” to miss the entirety of the series as he continues to recover from a sprained right knee he sustained last month, according to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski. It’s unclear at this time if the 32-year-old will be able to return should L.A. advance to the second round.

The PGA made the move to “elevated events” this season. That means the best in the world are playing in specific tournaments. Mostly, that has meant Scottie Scheffler or Jon Rahm winning. That doesn’t appear to be the case this week at the RBC Heritage.
Of the five elevated stroke play events so far, Rahm and Scheffler have combined to win four of them.
Kurt Kitayama won the Arnold Palmer Invitational.
Rahm won the Sentry Tournament of Champions, the Genesis Invitational and the Masters.
