AEW has smashed its own company record by selling more than 36,000 tickets during a pre-sale for All-In on Tuesday. Tony Khan decided to take a massive gamble and host an event at Wembley Stadium in London, and it looks like it will pay off.
The wrestling company is building towards its August event, with multiple pre-sales going on before the general public sale begins on Friday. Selling 36,000 tickets on the first day should be seen as a massive success, along with the $4.7 million in revenue they made on Tuesday.

After finishing as runner-up the past two seasons, 76ers star center Joel Embiid was named the MVP of the 2022–23 season Tuesday night. The announcement was made on Inside the NBA.
“It’s been a long time coming,” Embiid said on Inside the NBA. “A lot of hard work. I’ve been through a lot. … It feels good. I don’t know what to say. It’s amazing.”
Nuggets center Nikola Jokić has won the coveted award the previous two seasons, with Embiid placing a close second in voting both times. But the 29-year-old Embiid wouldn’t be denied this time around.
Philadelphia Phillies announcer Kevin Stocker had a bit of a slip-up while trying to navigate a live read to promote the team’s upcoming Dick Allen bobblehead promotion.
The Phillies will give out bobbleheads to celebrate the late franchise great who died in 2020. So, to get people to come out, buy a ticket, and take home a sweet, sweet Dick Allen bobblehead some promotion was in order.
It happened during Monday’s Phillies-Dodgers game when Stocker attempted to get through the rather wordy live read. It didn’t help that his script featured a veritable minefield of phallic synonyms.

Former world heavyweight champion boxer Deontay Wilder was arrested early Tuesday morning in Los Angeles for possession of a concealed weapon. He was taken into custody around 1:15 a.m. and released on $35,000 bond about five hours later.
Los Angeles Police Department officers stopped Wilder’s Rolls-Royce because the vehicle’s front windows were tinted too dark and it had an obstructed license plate, according to Richard Wilton of the Los Angeles Times. When officers smelled marijuana, they opted to search the vehicle, finding a 9-millimeter handgun and some marijuana.
Aaron Rodgers’s move to New York has excited the Jets fan base, as the team has a high level quarterback for the first time in a long time. That excitement has manifested itself in ticket sales, as fans have flocked to secure tickets for the upcoming season.
According to Eric Jackson of Sportico, the Jets have received a 400% increase in season tickets and suite sales compared to last year, when the team was coming off a 4-13 season in 2021 season. Of that number, 250% came in between Rodgers’s appearance on The Pat McAfee Show in March and the official trade announcement last week.
The San Francisco Giants announced Tuesday that they have released catcher Gary Sánchez after the former All-Star requested to exercise the May 1 opt-out of his minor league deal with the club.
Sánchez, who signed a minor-league deal with the Giants on March 31, failed to earn a call up to the team’s major league roster after batting a dismal .164 with no home runs, eight RBIs and 19 strikeouts in 16 games at Triple A Sacramento.
The contract allowed the former Yankees All-Star to opt out of the deal if he wasn’t promoted to the major league roster by May 1.
Tiger Woods and Jack Nicklaus share a special bond as the two greatest golfers of all-time. It is hard to imagine that anyone, ever, will be as prominent of a figure in the sport as the Big Cat or the Golden Bear. (Except for the Little Cat, Charlie Woods, but I digress.)

A member of the New Jersey Devils “Woo Crew” was on the receiving end of a nasty sucker punch from an angry New York Rangers fan.
It happened during Monday night’s Game 7 between the two teams. It was a heated series seeing as the teams are separated by about 14 miles and the Hudson River. The seven-game series went the distance, only for the Blueshirts to not show up in the deciding game which the Devils won 4-0.
One Rangers fan appeared to be unhappy with some combination of his team’s performance and the brave men and women encouraging Devils fans to woo after a goal.
