But for now, it’s still March and the men’s and women’s NCAA tournaments are down to the Final Four. Both big dances are headed to their epic conclusions this weekend.

The new MLB season is upon us, and there will be plenty of changes in store once the official first pitch is thrown Thursday. From pitch clocks (or timers—whichever side you’re on there) to the banning of the shift to the usual new faces in new places, there is much to digest.
But with another clean slate comes the hope of a World Series title. And Sports Illustrated’s predictions. Here is how our experts are seeing the season shake out.

Not only did Texas A&M baseball lose to Texas on Tuesday night, the Aggies showed their ass. Literally.

Plenty of basketball fans are already familiar with Bronny James, the eldest son of NBA superstar LeBron James, but the high school senior got a chance to shine on the biggest stage yet at Tuesday’s McDonalds All-American game.
Under the bright lights of the Toyota Center in Houston, James dazzled for the West team, scoring 15 points while adding four assists and two steals in 19 minutes played.

This ‘Hendon Hooker in the Top 10’ talk is dumb.
Hendon Hooker was an incredible story during the 2022 NCAA season, but now this storyline has jumped the shark. Mike Tannenbaum of ESPN turned heads on Tuesday when he shattered every morsel of conventional wisdom when it comes to the 2023 NFL Draft, mocking Hooker to the Seattle Seahawks at No. 5.
A lot of things when it comes to the draft and prospect evaluation come down to personal opinion and gut feelings, but this is just dumb.

And fans can expect two incredible matchups in Dallas.
Four of the top ten teams in the final Associated Press poll are represented, and the four teams headed to Dallas all placed inside the top ten in the final NET rankings.
On one side of the bracket you have an all-time great team in South Carolina, with the presumptive first-overall selection in the WNBA draft in forward Aliyah Boston.

With the play-in tournament starting two Tuesdays from now, six teams have punched their ticket past and straight into the playoffs with six spots still up for grabs.
Denver, Memphis, and Milwaukee have all clinched their division titles while Boston, Philadelphia, and Cleveland have all clinched a spot as well.
Ole Miss and Southern Miss baseball met on the diamond in Pearl, Mississippi on Tuesday night. The game was played on Trustmark Field, home of the Mississippi Braves, the Southern League Double-A affiliate of the Atlanta Braves.
Technically, though, it never happened. The college baseball game was declared a no contest in the middle of the fourth inning on account of poor sod.
