Former Louisville star Hailey Van Lith announced on her Instagram Thursday that she intends to transfer to LSU. The point guard just had another standout year for the Cardinals where she was named first-team All-ACC for the second year in a row.
Now, she joins the reigning champion Tigers and will look to help them win back-to-back national titles.
This is a developing story. Come back for more updates.

Welcome to The Weekly Takedown, Sports Illustrated’s in-depth look at MMA. Every week, this column offers insight and information on the most noteworthy stories in the fight world.
A decade ago, Demetrious Johnson headlined three cards for the UFC across 2013.
Johnson’s pursuit of greatness continues at rapid speed, where he is only a week away from fighting in the main event of ONE Fight Night 10—ONE Championship’s maiden voyage to the United States—against Adriano Moraes.
Former Notre Dame quarterback Tyler Buchner has committed to Alabama, he announced on social media Thursday.
“My time at Notre Dame allowed me to grow and develop as a football player while building lifelong friendships that were forged under fire,” Buchner wrote. “I love my teammates and I will take those relationships with me for the rest of my life. They truly made my time at Notre Dame special. I also want to thank Coach Freeman, the coaching staff, support staff and entire Irish family for all they did to help me mature on and off the football field.
The Chiefs running back shared one emoji and it has fans wondering what is coming down the pike.
Desmond Green has a destination in mind for his journey. Whether he ever reaches it is difficult to answer.
Green, 33, has been a force to be reckoned with BYB Extreme Bare Knuckle Fighting Series. He has dominated all three of his bouts en route to becoming the reigning BYB middleweight champion. Later tonight, he will wear the once-familiar MMA gloves in a nontitle crossover bout against Lyntai Earnest at the BYB Extreme Trigon Combat, which airs on FITE TV.
Yet bare-knuckle fighting is not the end goal, but rather a launching pad back to where he longs to be.
Winning in Week 18 changed the entire draft for the Texans, Colts, Panthers and Bears
January 8, 2023 — The Texans and Colts just want it to all be over. Houston is 2-13-1, looking to close out the season and rebuild with the No. 1 pick in the NFL Draft, while Indianapolis is still licking its wounds from the disastrous hiring of Jeff Saturday and a complete collapse after firing Frank Reich.
Despite their shared disappointment, the Week 18 game between the Texans and Colts is remarkably close. The AFC South rivals are fighting for pride, and nothing else.
The best pitcher never to have won a Cy Young Award is off to a historic start. Gerrit Cole of the Yankees makes his sixth start tonight at Texas. He has zeroes at the beginning of his ERA (0.79) and under the columns of losses and home runs allowed.
Since MLB started handing out Cy Young Awards in 1956, only six other pitchers started a season with triple zeroes like this. Four of them went on to win the Cy:

It’s draft day. It’s finally here. Let’s go!
• And, to me, what best defines this draft class is what’s happening with the teams between 10 and 14—in order, the Eagles, Titans, Texans, Packers and Patriots. I’m told all five of those teams have been making calls to teams above them about trading up and down. And it’s no coincidence that, in a year when everyone seems to be looking to trade down, it’s the group in that alley of picks that are looking both ways at this intersection of the draft.
By now, you’ve probably seen the circus shot Jimmy Butler hit with under a second remaining in regulation to send Game 5 between the Heat and Bucks to overtime, a game Miami would eventually win to become the sixth No. 8 seed ever to win a first-round series.
But Butler, despite having a game-high 38 points on the night at that point, wasn’t Heat coach Erik Spoelstra’s original first option for the game-tying shot. According to ESPN, Spoelstra entered the huddle and originally drew up a play for another Heat player. Butler, when informed of this, had other ideas.
Grayson Allen, what are you doing?
The Milwaukee Bucks were considered the championship favorites entering the 2023 NBA Playoffs. They ended the season being sent home in the first round, becoming the sixth No. 1 seed to lose to a No. 8 seed in league history, while being the first top seed to only win one game in a best-of-seven first round series.
The Heat beat the Bucks, 128-126, in a Game 5 overtime thriller on Wednesday night to eliminate Milwaukee and reach the second round.
