Hindsight is 20/20 and now, Le’Veon Bell realizes that he may have made a mistake when he signed a deal with the New York Jets in 2019.
Bell somewhat famously sat out the entire 2018 NFL after failing to cut a deal with the Pittsburgh Steelers. The Steelers had drafted him in 2013 and were still annual playoff contenders.
However, after playing the 2017 season under a franchise tag and missing 2018, Bell signed a deal that was around what he turned down from the Steelers to sign with the Jets.

Sam Burns had some fun on the course with Ted Scott, Scottie Scheffler’s caddie, during Friday’s second round of the Charles Schwab Challenge.
Sam Burns and Scottie Scheffler are best friends, both on and off the golf course.
During the first two rounds of the Charles Schwab Challenge, the PGA Tour paired Burns and Scheffler together, with Davis Riley rounding out the trio.
After both Burns and Scheffler fired opening rounds of 67, both players felt a little loose during Friday’s second round.
The Bucks are hiring Raptors assistant Adrian Griffin as the franchise’s next head coach and are in negotiations on a multiyear contract, sources told ESPN.
After winning 99 games and cruising to the AL East title in 2022, the Yankees have found sledding tougher in 2023. New York is 30-23, eight games behind the first-place Rays in the division.
Yankees manager Aaron Boone has been desperate to find a spark for his club—so much so that he’s tried to provide it, getting ejected so frequently he incurred a one-game suspension “for his recent conduct toward major league umpires” per MLB.
If fans of New York and its rivals were wondering whether the suspension and fine would chasten Boone, they got a firm answer Saturday.
The Bucks are set to hire Raptors assistant Adrian Griffin as their next head coach, ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski reports.
Griffin replaces Mike Budenholzer, who was fired following five seasons with Milwaukee after the team lost to the Heat in five games in the first round of the playoffs. Griffin has spent the past 15 seasons as an assistant coach for five different teams, including for the 2019 NBA champion Raptors. He began his career as a Bucks assistant from 2008 to ’10.

The Texas Rangers are suddenly baseball’s biggest story.
For most of the start of the 2023 Major League Baseball season, the Tampa Bay Rays dominated discussion. The Rays have hit, collectively, as well as Dodgers superstar Mookie Betts has throughout this career.
They’ve used elite pitching from a group of mostly unknowns to get to baseball’s best record.
And yet, using run differential, they’re no longer the league’s best team.
That description somehow now belongs to the surprising Texas Rangers.
The Rangers blew out the Baltimore Orioles 12-2 at Camden Yards on Friday.
A bill introduced in the Nevada Legislature would give the Athletics up to $380 million for a potential 30,000-seat, $1.5 billion retractable-roof stadium on the Las Vegas Strip.
