After five successful seasons, the Milwaukee Bucks are making a questionable move by moving off head coach Mike Budenholzer.
Coming off a disappointing first round against the Miami Heat, the Bucks organization looked for a problem to solve — not just finish regular seasons as a top seed in the East but advance further than the first round with a loaded cast.
The Milwaukee brain trust landed on Budenholzer as the issue. Milwaukee “dismissed” the coach on Thursday, according to The Athletic’s Shams Charania.

The Bucks fired coach Mike Budenholzer on Thursday following their first-round exit from the NBA playoffs.
While some fans were shocked that Milwaukee would part ways with their coach just two years after the team won the NBA title, the firing actually seems to follow an odd pattern that has emerged in the league over the last few years.
Three of the last four coaches from the NBA championship teams no longer work for the team they won the title with. Nick Nurse coached the 2019 Raptors championship team and he was just fired on April 21.

Two USC journalism students were arrested for the theft of first-round NFL draft jerseys, with the value of the stolen property estimated at over $1,000 dollars.
The pair—Eric Lambkins II and Jude Ocañas—were in Missouri covering the draft for student-run news outlet Annenberg Media as part of USC’s Annenberg School for Communication and Journalism. According to Noah Goldberg of the Los Angeles Times, Lambkins and Ocañas were seen on security footage shortly after 1 a.m. on Friday morning entering NFL draft areas that were restricted.

In the midst of the Mets being swept in a three-game set by the Tigers, reigning National League batting champion Jeff McNeil took issue with umpire Adam Beck during an at-bat in the second inning.
A frustrated McNeil, who went 1-for-10 in the series, was not happy with a called third strike on a pitch that appeared to be out of the zone.

Lost in the excitement of the NFL Draft for fans is that hundreds of young men see their dreams come true. For North Carolina wide receiver Josh Downs, the call from the Indianapolis Colts changed his life.
And he let GM Chris Ballard know exactly how much that meant to him.
