Get ready: There are just 40 days until the MLB trade deadline, and there are still several teams whose futures look uncertain. Buy? Sell? Neither? Here’s a look at some of the clubs on the bubble.
Cleveland Guardians
On one hand, Cleveland could easily win the AL Central, just as it did last year. While the team has not been in first place since early April, it currently sits just one game back of Minnesota, which is not exactly an unstoppable juggernaut.
On the other hand … this division is so weak that winning it doesn’t necessarily mean very much.

Welcome to 32 teams in 32 days. To get us through the offseason, we’ll be taking a closer look at every team in the league, in order of projected 2023 win totals. Up next: the Giants.
The Giants had a successful first season with Brian Daboll, who quickly turned them into a playoff team en route to winning Coach of the Year.
But the Giants will no longer catch teams by surprise after winning 10 games last season, including a wild-card victory vs. the Vikings.
The Titans had a miserable finish to last season.
Kansas City Royals reliever Aroldis Chapman has been back to looking like the pitcher he was in the beginning of his career – a guy who can throw really hard and strike out lots of batters out in the process.
That continued Thursday night when he came into the eighth inning of a one-run game and struck out all three Tampa Bay Rays batters that he faced.
The Athlon Sports 2023 Fantasy Football Annual magazine reached out to team insiders at all 32 NFL clubs to ask them three key fantasy questions heading into the season. As we count down to training camp, Sports Illustrated will publish their answers here. Today’s team: New York Giants

What’s the likelihood of Darren Waller leading the team in all receiving categories? That’s certainly possible if Waller can stay healthy.
LSU will see Florida in the Men’s College World Series Finals, and this play is a huge reason why
It is so rare in sports that a game that receives so much hype going in actually lives up to expectations.
Thursday night’s decisive game between LSU and Wake Forest not only lived up to the hype, but it vastly exceeded expectations.
With a spot in the Finals against Florida on the line, both teams called on their aces. LSU sent Paul Skenes, a likely top-three pick in next month’s MLB draft, to the hill to face Wake Forest on four days’ rest.
Say what you will about former Kansas guard Gradey Dick, but there’s no questioning his honesty. Even on one of the biggest nights of his life, with NBA fans from all over watching, he couldn’t contain his excitement.
After Dick was selected No. 13 overall by the Raptors, the 19-year-old knew exactly what that meant—a life potentially involving Drake, and he couldn’t contain his excitement about it.
Riley Gaines, along with other individuals who possess the trait of common sense, does not believe that transgender athletes (biological men) should compete in women’s sports. Megan Rapinoe and Alex Morgan of the USWNT share the opposite opinion, and Gaines recently laid out how ridiculous their stance truly is.
Gaines, unlike Morgan and Rapinoe, has first-hand experience having to compete against a biological man. The former Kentucky swimmer not only had to compete against trans athlete Lia Thomas, but share a locker room with Thomas as well.
I’ve always admired NFL players who pass on the bait when asked about their “rating” or “legacy.” While the latter is at least a little dependent on their own overall actions, almost everything about how a player’s career is perceived is out of their control. If a teammate blows coverage and they get docked with a touchdown allowed on their own statistics, are they going to risk being labeled as “petty” as well by pointing that out?
So it is with that trepidation in mind we present the second half of our most underrated players list.
