He simply can’t. He is an alien who has come down and taken over a simple human form so as to hide his extra-terrestrial powers, as if this was a story from a sci-fi movie, not just an out-of-nowhere sports classic.
Purdy, who heretofore should be known as Mr. Revelation rather than Mr. Irrelevant, had just laid waste to the Seattle Seahawks and earned the social media praise of LeBron James, he finished getting dressed in his jeans, tennis shoes and button-down shirt.

The third-string quarterback will lead the Dolphins into their Wild Card game in Buffalo.
When the Miami Dolphins offense takes the field for its Wild Card playoff matchup against the Buffalo Bills on Sunday, it will be led by an unfamiliar name. Rookie quarterback Skylar Thompson will start the game for the AFC’s seventh seed.
Skylar who? Exactly. Not really a household name, Thompson is Miami’s third-string quarterback who has been pressed into action because of injuries higher up on the depth chart.

San Francisco’s rookie quarterback couldn’t believe it when he learned of the Lakers star’s tweet.
San Francisco 49ers quarterback Brock Purdy won his first playoff game on Saturday, beating the Seahawks, 41–23, in a wild-card matchup at Levi’s Stadium. 
This major win inspired ample praise for Purdy, including a comment from one sports superstar: LeBron James.
The Lakers star, who often reacts to major sporting events on social media, tweeted “PURDY GOT GAME!!!!!!!!!” on Saturday.

The Bills received a bit of extra motivation ahead of Sunday’s home playoff game against the Dolphins in the form of a special message from safety Damar Hamlin, less than two weeks after the 24-year-old suffered a medical emergency on the field in Cincinnati.
“My heart is with my guys as they compete today!” Hamlin wrote on Twitter ahead of kickoff. “Supporting from home as I focus on my recovery.
