Texas A&M baseball began its 2023 campaign with three-straight wins over Seattle University at home, but turned around and lost three-straight. Head coach Jim Schlossnagle was not pleased with how his team played in the three losses, and also took issue with the Aggies fanbase.
A&M dropped a mid-week game to Lamar on Feb. 21, and then hosted Portland for a three-game series in College Station. The Pilots won on Friday and Saturday to take the series, and nearly pulled out the sweep before getting walked off 5-4 on Sunday.

The Philadelphia Eagles have submitted a proposal to the NFL to let players pick the number 0 for their uniforms.
NFL uniform regulations have generally been fairly strict on what numbers players are allowed to wear.
Typically, numbers are broken down by position. The league just recently allowed non-quarterbacks, kickers or punters to choose single digit numbers.
But according to a new report from The Athletic, the Eagles specifically asked to allow players to choose number 0.
College players have been able to wear 0 for several years, with a number of players choosing the new number.

What does Aaron Rodgers do next?
Aaron Rodgers emerged from the darkness and saw his shadow, which means six more weeks of bullshit. The Packers quarterback has promised not to drag out his decision for 2023, but didn’t offer any kind of indication on when, or how that would come.
Rodgers did what he tends to do in these situations: Appear on a podcast, and wants people who don’t like how his handling this to just “tune it out.”
“There’s a finality to the decision. I don’t make it lightly. I don’t want to drag anybody around.
He appeared to address the criticism from one ESPN analyst.
Nikola Jokić is as mild-mannered and quiet as superstars come. But on Tuesday night, the Nuggets center appeared to take a shot at ESPN’s Kendrick Perkins, who accused him of stat-padding.
He notched his 100th career triple-double in his team’s 133–112 win over the Rockets and after the game, he was asked what the accomplishment meant to him.
“I mean, when you’re stat-padding it’s easy,” he said.
When asked if he heard the criticism, he said, “Yes, of course, it’s true.

The Super Bowl loss still looms in the City of Brotherly Love.
The Eagles’ loss to the Chiefs in the Super Bowl is not even a month old, but it appears that not everyone involved on the Philadelphia side has moved on.
Safety C.J. Gardner-Johnson posted—and later deleted—a tweet on Wednesday throwing some criticism toward former Eagles defensive coordinator Jonathan Gannon. Gardner-Johnson shared a tweet in which Gannon offered his view on what went wrong in the Super Bowl defeat, before saying that Gannon failed to “put us in a position to make plays.
Former Georgia superstar Jalen Carter is returning to Athens to face charges of reckless driving and racing with Chandler LeCroy in the early hours of Jan. 15, possibly leading to the death of LeCroy and Georgia football player Devin Willock in a high speed crash in Athens.
“There is no question in my mind that when all of the facts are known that I will be fully exonerated of any criminal wrongdoing,” Carter said in a statement Wednesday afternoon on his Twitter.

The highly-touted prospect did not speak to reporters at the NFL combine earlier Wednesday after police issued a warrant for his arrest.
Jalen Carter released a statement on Wednesday afternoon for the first time since the Athens-Clarke County Police Department issued a warrant for his arrest. Carter faces charges connected to a fatal January crash that killed two members of the Georgia football program.
The warning appears to be directed at Texas A&M’s first-of-its-kind name, image and likeness initiative through its fundraising foundation.
Two weeks after Texas A&M announced a first-of-its-kind name, image and likeness initiative through its fundraising foundation, the NCAA sent a memo to member schools Monday that appears to be directed at the Aggies’ new model.
Former Georgia star and top NFL Draft prospect Jalen Carter has an arrest warrant out for him in connection to the death of his teammate Devin Willock in January.
