Bills safety Jordan Poyer was a bit of a late bloomer, performance-wise. Drafted by the Eagles in the seventh round in 2013, Poyer broke out with Buffalo in ’21, his age-30 season. He was named first-team All-Pro and followed that up with a Pro Bowl campaign in ’22.
With the recent success has come a spike in compensation. The soon-to-be free agent made $5.

Taxes suck. Even if you make as much money as Jordan Poyer.
On his podcast this week, the Bills safety discussed where he might go in free agency.
“I would love to go to a state that doesn’t take half my money,” he said. “It’s crazy to me how taxes work. Some people will say, ‘You’re already making X amount of money.’ Taxes play a big part in all of our lives.”

The Celtics beat the 76ers 110–107 on Saturday thanks to a buzzer-beater from Jayson Tatum, but the win didn’t come without some trash talk from Philadelphia fans.
While NBA teams, especially the Celtics, are used to the comments fans shout at them from the stands, Boston guard Jaylen Brown admitted some fans went a bit “excessive” with some “hostile” chants at the Wells Fargo Center on Saturday.
For example, Brown heard fans shouting that they hoped he would injure himself during the game.
