New Jersey buffed its offense in a big way ahead of the trade deadline.
The Devils are fortifying their offense, getting some help for the likes of Jack Hughes and Nico Hischier ahead of the 2023 NHL trade deadline. On Sunday, a report indicated that New Jersey was on the verge of acquiring star forward Timo Meier from the Sharks in a blockbuster deal.
According to Pierre LeBrun of The Athletic, Meier is headed to the Devils, pending the official trade call and subsequent physical, in a deal that will help solidify New Jersey as a true Stanley Cup contender.

Shortly after putting up 18 points, 13 rebounds and six assists in the Celtics‘ 110–107 win over the 76ers in a possible Eastern Conference Finals preview, Boston forward Jayson Tatum gifted his familiar No. 0 jersey to Eagles wide receiver DeVonta Smith.

A fan went viral Sunday afternoon for stringing along a creepy LeBron James puppet to the Lakers-Mavericks matchup at American Airlines Center.
And yes, it won’t take long for ESPN to find ‘racial undertones’ with this seemingly innocuous doll.
Video of the fan and Lil’ LeBron showed the doll’s function of bouncing a ball and scaring children.

The XFL’s travel logistics make things awkward for the losing team. That notion was on display after Saturday’s game between the Defenders and Vipers on a field that cannot be taken seriously.
First and foremost, the XFL was unable to land Allegiant Stadium as the home of its Las Vegas team. So while other organizations play at Camping World Stadium, the Alamodome, or The Dome at America’s Center, the Vipers play at Cashman Field.
Cashman Field was originally built as a Triple-A baseball stadium in 1983. It was renovated and converted to a minor league soccer field in 2019.

The Hawkeyes star caused quite the uproar on Sunday.
Iowa star Caitlin Clark caused an uproar at Carver-Hawkeye Arena Sunday when she scored a three-point buzzer beater to secure a 86–85 win over No. 2 Indiana.
The No. 6 Hawkeyes trailed 85–83 with less than two seconds remaining, but Clark got ahold of the ball and sunk a shot from beyond the arc in the final second, giving Iowa the win.
As Clark’s basket fell, the crowd went wild, and her teammates ran onto the floor to celebrate.
