Projected top-three NBA draft selection Brandon Miller has made some eye-popping comments during interviews this week, but he shared an interesting moment from his pre-draft workout with the Hornets that may just take the cake.
Miller’s workout in Charlotte was observed by outgoing Hornets owner Michael Jordan, who naturally dished out the trash talk to try to rattle the former Alabama star. But Miller came away from the workout with an embarrassing story for one of the game’s all-time greats, saying in an interview with SiriusXM that Jordan air-balled a free throw during the workout.

Gov. Ron DeSantis noticed aloud what most of America has long understood: basketball players are more athletic than baseball players.
But according to Mike Freeman of USA Today, saying so is a dog whistle for the racist whites. Or as Freeman calls it, a “bullhorn.”
Here is what DeSantis said in an interview with the Christian Broadcasting Network:
“So I think that there’s kind of a place for everybody on a baseball team if you’re willing to work hard, if you’re willing to practice, and if you’re willing to hone your skills.
The 2023 NBA draft is upon us and the entire basketball world will be watching Thursday night as the Association gets its newest crop of players. These future stars come from all walks of life, whether it was college in America, overseas leagues or the developmental NBA G League.
However, the draft isn’t limited to just those avenues of basketball. Quite frankly, the NBA doesn’t limit it at all.
The Knicks and Clippers have reportedly engaged on a potential trade centered around star wing Paul George, according to Knicks reporter Ian Begley of SNY.
Begley noted that it is unknown whether the Clippers are willing to move on from George. NBA reporter Marc Stein noted Tuesday that the Clippers gave rival teams the impression they were gauging George’s trade value on the open market.
The Clippers have struggled with keeping their two stars, Kawhi Leonard and George, healthy throughout their time in Los Angeles.
The Celtics traded longtime veteran point guard Marcus Smart to the Grizzlies in a three-team blockbuster that includes Boston receiving star forward Kristaps Porzingis from the Wizards, according to multiple reports.
ESPN SportsCenter’s social media account posted a tweet shortly after the deal was reported that showed Smart in a photoshopped Memphis uniform with blue hair. NBA fans who know the history of Smart’s green hair with the Celtics know that he dyed his hair in memory of his late mother, who always wanted Smart to dye his hair green as a member of the Celtics.
Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce is not the type to stand idly by when someone comes along and disses his quarterback.
He’s not the kind to start blubbering like a schoolgirl *cough*Terrell Owens*cough* but he did jump to QB Patrick Mahomes after Cincinnati Bengals wideout Ja’Marr Chase dissed him. Kind of.
Last week, Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow was asked who he thought was the best player in the league at his position. He said Patrick Mahomes without hesitation.
After a little bit of drama, the Celtics are in fact acquiring Kristaps Porzingis.
The 2018 All-Star is headed to Boston in a three-team trade that will send longtime Celtic Marcus Smart to the Grizzlies, per reports. Memphis will send two first-round picks to Boston as well, while the Celtics will send a second rounder to the Wizards.
Boston reportedly was close to acquiring Porzingis earlier Wednesday in a separate three-team trade involving Malcolm Brogdon and the Clippers. But after that deal fell apart due to injury concerns surrounding Brogdon, this new structure took place.

Aaron Rodgers spoke at a psychedelic conference and sounded like your hippie uncle
When it was announced that Aaron Rodgers was going to hyping up ayahuasca at a Colorado psychedelics conference, you knew that things were going to be a little weird — but even then, I didn’t think ol’ No. 12 was going to start dabbling in witchcraft.
It all started with Rodgers hyping up why ayahuasca and similar substances should be legalized. The thing is: He’s not entirely wrong on this one.
Aaron Rodgers has mastered the skill of arrogant victimhood, standing atop the world while still claiming he’s suffering unjust persecution.
Rodgers remains a headline-generating machine. New York media loves headlines.
