The Jets officially traded for longtime Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers on Monday after months of negotiating terms with Green Bay.
After the details of the trade emerged, fans generally thought the Packers won the deal. Even with that sentiment, Jets general manager Joe Douglas seems to be happy about the trade solely because they finally got Rodgers as their quarterback.
“We’re comfortable with how this deal is shaped,” Douglas said during a Tuesday press conference. “In any negotiation, I don’t think anyone walks away where you feel you won everything.

However, as expected, much of the focus of the press conference was not on the draft. Instead, it was all about New York’s acquisition of future Hall of Fame quarterback Aaron Rodgers, who was traded to the Jets on Monday from the Packers.
The Jets are in “win now” mode with Rodgers at quarterback, which means former No. 2 pick Zach Wilson will be serving as Rodgers’s backup for the foreseeable future.
