The Chiefs and former Buccaneers offensive tackle Donovan Smith agreed to a one-year deal worth up to $9 million, according to ESPN’s Adam Teicher.
NFL Network was the first to report the financial value of Smith’s deal. Smith, who was released by Tampa Bay on March 7 as part of the franchise’s efforts to remain under the league’s salary cap, joins a Chiefs franchise that completed an overhaul of its offensive line.
Former offensive tackle Orlando Brown signed with the Bengals while Andrew Wylie signed a three-year, $24 million deal with the Commanders in March.

The Denver Nuggets are stifling the Phoenix Suns by shrinking the floor around Kevin Durant and Devin Booker
Late in the third quarter of Monday’s Game 2 between the Phoenix Suns and Denver Nuggets, Devin Booker and Nikola Jokic delighted viewers by closing the period trading a slew of invigorating buckets. After both sides slogged through a 42-40 first half, they each established some rhythm in the third, combining for 61 points as Booker and Jokic starred.
When Aaron Rodgers’s future as an NFL quarterback was up in the air a couple of months ago, he planned a darkness retreat to help him get some guidance.
Reports, mainly coming from ESPN’s Adam Schefter and the NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, had been swirling that Rodgers’s time with the Packers was done and he could retire or maybe join the Jets.
During this time, Rodgers made one of his appearances on the Pat McAfee Show and took aim at the two reporters.
“There’s an inner circle, and in my inner circle nobody talks to Ian Rapoport or Adam Schefter or to any of those people.
Antonio Brown is at the center of controversy, again. Rinse, repeat.
This time, though, the 34-year-old is not in the headlines as a player, or former player, but as an owner. Brown and his father purchased an ownership stake in a National Arena League football team, the Albany Empire, back at the beginning of March. His dad Eddie was a star offensive player for the Albany Firebirds in the 1990s so the team holds sentimental value.
However, less than two months after buying into the franchise, Brown is already in some hot water.

In the Los Angeles Angels 6-4 victory over the St. Louis Cardinals on Wednesday, Ohtani was once again incredible both on the mound as a starting pitcher and at the plate as the DH. He struck out 13 batters through five innings as a pitcher, then went 3-5 with an RBI as a hitter.
With those 13 strikeouts on Wednesday, Ohtani joined some very elite company.

Celtics make good on disappointing game 1 with blowout in game 2
Given the amount of turmoil circling Boston in the days after letting James Harden almost singlehandedly beat them, a Game 2 win salvaging what was left of early homecourt would be vital. Benefitting from what appeared to be important halftime adjustments, the Celtics ran away with Game 2, winning 121-87.
