Lamar Jackson has officially asked the Baltimore Ravens to trade him, according to a source. That source being Lamar Jackson.
Yes, Jackson took to Twitter on Monday morning to let the world know that he is done playing football in Baltimore.
“As of March 2nd I requested a trade from the Ravens organization,” Jackson wrote, in part. “The Ravens has [sic] not been interested in meeting my value, any and everyone that’s [sic] has met me or been around me know I love the game of football and my dream is to help a team win the super bowl.

The Ravens quarterback shared that he asked to be traded almost a month ago.
In a thread posted on Twitter, Lamar Jackson announced that he requested to be traded on March 2. This was before the Ravens placed the non-exclusive franchise tag on him on March 7. His bombshell announcement appears to mean his time in Baltimore is near an end both he and the Ravens have been unable to agree on a long-term extension.

The ongoing saga between QB Lamar Jackson and the Baltimore Ravens has taken its penultimate turn. Jackson took to Twitter on Monday to share with Ravens’ fans that on March 2, he requested a trade, because Baltimore hasn’t been interested in meeting his value.

The former NFL MVP sent a message to his fans on Twitter Monday morning, saying he asked to be dealt by Baltimore on March 2nd amid ongoing negotiations.
Dan Snyder purchased one of the NFL’s marquee franchises in 1999. Twenty-four years later, and with the team up for sale, he leaves a legacy of on-field futility and off-field scandal.
Baltimore appears to be preparing for every possibility.
The Ravens placed the non-exclusive franchise tag on Lamar Jackson on March 7, and both sides have yet to agree on a long-term contract. The standoff is expected to go on for some time, but that doesn’t mean the offseason just stops for Baltimore. The team still is looking to make moves in free agency, and it appears they have a message for potential players who are inquiring about the team’s quarterback situation.
