The countdown to the start of the 2023 NCAA tournaments has officially begun. As the excitement for March Madness draws near, fans eager to finish with a perfect bracket won’t have to wait too long for the start of this year’s festivities.  
The 2023 men’s tournament will begin with the First Four matchups on March 14 and 15 at the UD Arena, the home of the Dayton Flyers, in Dayton, Ohio. Games will begin at 6:30 p.m. ET and air on truTV.

The Jayhawks coach missed the entire Big 12 Tournament after being hospitalized with an illness.
Kansas coach Bill Self on Sunday offered his first public comments since being hospitalized with an undisclosed illness just before the start of the Big 12 tournament.
The University of Kansas Health System issued a statement announcing Self, 60, had been discharged in “good condition” after arriving to the emergency department on the night of March 8 “complaining of chest tightness and balance concerns.

Needless to say, he’s excited with the move.
Following the reported blockbuster trade that will land star cornerback Jalen Ramsey with the Dolphins, reactions have flooded Twitter. But one of his new teammates in Miami, Xavien Howard, had quite the visceral response to the news. 
“This s— is about to be crazy,” he told ESPN’s Cameron Wolfe. 
Howard and Ramsey now form perhaps the most decorated cornerback duo in the league. The 29-year-old is a four-time Pro Bowler and has been named All-Pro twice—both in 2018 and 2020, when he led the league in interceptions.

Jalen Ramsey recently laughed at a tweet suggesting he might be cut this offseason. The idea was comical because Ramsey knew very well that wasn’t an option for the cap-strapped Rams, who were looking to unload hefty contracts after a dreadful 5–12 season.

Texas Southern basketball is the worst team to make March Madness this season. The Tigers got hot at the right time to set up the strangest matchup of the entire NCAA Tournament, and mark the return of the best dancing mascot in the country!
Texas Southern, which had just nine Division-I wins in 2022/23, finished the regular season at 11-20. It somehow beat Arizona State back in November, but got obliterated by Oral Roberts, Houston, Auburn and Kansas in four of its next five games.
Two of its wins included Huston-Tillotson and North American. Who? Exactly.

Ethan Salas made his MLB debut during spring training on Saturday afternoon. He is just 16 years old.
Salas, who would be no older than a junior in high school, signed a massive $5.1 million contract with the Padres in January. He was heralded as the top international prospect in 2023 and inked the third-largest contract for an international prospect— ever.
At just 16 years old!
Although he has a long way to go before reaching the big leagues, San Diego wants to get him every opportunity to grow and learn.
