INGLEWOOD, Calif. (AP) — Tyronn Lue managed a small smile as he considered the kind of season it’s been for the Los Angeles Clippers.
“A lot,” the coach said.
After a 6-21 start, the Clippers have scrapped their way into the play-in tournament. They finished 42-40, extending their NBA-best active streak of consecutive winning seasons to 15. They’re the first team in league history to be 15 or more games under .500 and still end with a winning record.
“Usually a team deals with adversity maybe once or twice throughout a season,” Lue said, “but not five or six times.

Good news for Gian Piero Gasperini ahead of Saturday night’s big match at the Olimpico against Atalanta.
After the adductor injury he suffered at San Siro against Inter, Gianluca Mancini is already on the road to recovery and should return to action this weekend’s match against Atalanta.
As reported by Il Tempo, the Giallorossi number 23 has resumed (partially) training with the team and should be able to secure at least a call-up for the match on Saturday the 19th at 8:45 PM.

Haas were reportedly keen on signing Yuki Tsunoda, but Helmut Marko stepped in to block the move, according to The Race. Tsunoda lost his seat on the F1 grid for the 2026 season after five years.
Tsunoda’s career was expected to take off in early 2025 when he replaced Liam Lawson at Red Bull. But despite showing potential with Racing Bulls, he struggled to deliver consistent results at the higher level.
Isack Hadjar was promoted while Arvid Lindblad moved up from Formula 2 to take over one of the seats, leaving Tsunoda without a place.

Liverpool will have to create one of those special nights under the Anfield lights if they are to reach the Champions League semi-finals.
They go into the second leg of their quarter-final against Paris St-Germain on Tuesday trailing 2-0.
PSG had 18 shots to Liverpool’s three in the first leg, of which six were on target for the French side and none for Liverpool, while the holders dominated the ball with 74% possession.
“I don’t think they can afford to go with five at the back,” said former Liverpool defender Stephen Warnock on BBC Radio 5 Live.

Two trophies from Tiger Woods‘ earliest playing days as a young child were recently sold at auction, and while the two pieces of hardware symbolize the start of one of the greatest sports careers of all time, the price they sold for is legitimately stunning.
Golden Age Auctions, a renowned spot for golf auctions, held an online bidding for the two trophies during Masters week. The bidding began at $500 for the two trophies, and despite only receiving 44 bids, they sold for more than 100 times the opening bid amount.
