Arkansas won a close recruiting battle over several Texas-based programs for touted pass-catching tight end Jaivion Martin.
That commitment was short-lived.
After drawing continued interest from programs in and around the Lone Star State, Martin decommitted from the Razorbacks.
Texas Tech was an early contender for the three-star TE from Willis (Texas) High School. Houston is another in-state program that has come on strong with Martin leading into and since his SEC pledge.

Jake Paul and Gervonta “Tank” Davis are probably getting paid handsomely for their exhibition bout scheduled to air on Netflix in November but the fighters raised the stakes with a side bet worth $2 million.
The wager happened after streamer Adin Ross, who showed up to the pre-fight press conference alongside Paul in a Bugatti, first attempted to up his bet with Davis on the fight. Apparently they had previously agreed on a wager for $200,000 and that price only escalated during a back and forth with the fighters on stage.

Real Madrid win opening six La Liga matches for the sixth time
Real Madrid started the 2025/26 La Liga season in style.
With the 4-1 win over Levante this Tuesday (23rd), they now have six wins in six games — a feat the club has only achieved five other times in the history of the competition.
The previous campaigns with this perfect start were in 1958/59, 1961/62, 1968/69, 1987/88, and, more recently, in 2022/23.
From these campaigns, the Merengues were champions in 61/62, 68/69, and 87/88. In the other two seasons, rivals Barcelona ended up lifting the trophy.

When I got up early this past Sunday to watch the Formula 1 Azerbaijan Grand Prix, I knew I’d be seeing an interesting race given the Baku City Circuit’s track record.

Karl-Anthony Towns’ offseason knee procedure was a storyline going into the New York Knicks’ media day, which was apparently news to Towns.
As the Knicks center spoke to reporters on Tuesday, Stefan Bondy of the New York Post asked him about “a knee procedure” reported by ESPN That led to the following exchange:

TOWNS: “No I did not have a knee — where are you hearing this? You came on media day to come and put that out there?”

BONDY: “I thought ESPN reported it.”

TOWNS: “Who did that, Centel?”
