When Seattle was announced as one of the many host cities for the 2026 World Cup, it was inevitable that the city and its leaders would use it as an opportunity to remind the world that it is one of the most liberal, woke places in North America.
And that’s exactly what it’s planning to do when Group Stage matches make their way to Seattle in June, which just so happens to also be Pride Month. The World Cup draw, though, has created a rather complicated situation for the city.

LIVERPOOL, England (AP) — Mohamed Salah is out of Arne Slot’s squad for Liverpool’s Champions League game against Inter Milan, following his stinging public criticism of the club.
The Egyptian forward’s name was missing from a 19-player squad Monday as the team traveled to Italy. He had earlier seemed in good spirits at training in England.
Salah said it “seems like the club has thrown me under the bus” and he doesn’t have “any relationship” with Slot after he was benched for the third game in a row Saturday.

It appears that Brooks Koepka may not play on LIV Golf in 2026.
Anyone who has been watching golf for the last few years has wondered what Koepka’s future held. The 5-time major winner was one of the main pieces of the PGA Tour to originally leave for LIV, he won his fifth major after having left, and his future seems uncertain at present time according to a chat the SBJ’s Josh Carpenter had with LIV Golf CEO Scott O’Neil.
Heading into its fifth season, a handful of LIV’s original players have contracts that are up for renewal.
