There was a new voice on the College Football Playoff rankings show Tuesday night, with Arkansas AD Hunter Yurachek taking over for former CFP Chair Mack Rhoades. And, there was movement for Oklahoma after defeating previously No. 4 Alabama this past weekend, with Texas Tech and Ole Miss moving up the poll. 
For the third time of the 2025 season, the CFP was the main focus of attention for college football fans. 
But, there is a bit of doubt starting to creep in for numerous teams, as we inch closer to conference championship weekend.

Moments ago, the College Football Playoff Selection Committee released its third set of rankings for the year-end College Football Playoff. Heading into the night several questions loomed, including just how far Alabama would fall after last weekend’s loss to Oklahoma, just how thing the road was for Texas after their loss to Georgia, and what Group of 5 team would be in line for a spot if the playoffs began this weekend.

Alabama dropped six spots to No. 10 in College Football Playoff rankings after losing to Oklahoma on Saturday.
The Crimson Tide are now fifth among SEC schools in the rankings after the Sooners moved up to No. 8 from No. 11. Texas A&M remained at No. 3 behind Ohio State and Indiana and Georgia moved up to No. 4 after beating Texas.
Texas Tech is at No. 5 ahead of Ole Miss and Oregon.
