The Indianapolis Colts are designating cornerback Charvarius Ward to return from injured reserve. He will be back on the practice field on Wednesday.
Once a player is designated to return, the team has 21 days to add him back to the 53-man roster. That move can take place at any time during that time frame once medically cleared.
According to ESPN’s Stephen Holder, Ward “could very well be back” for this week’s game against the Kansas City Chiefs.
