The world of golf is going to experience a serious change in 2026.
LIV Golf announced on Tuesday that they are altering their format beginning with their next season. Starting in 2026 all LIV tournaments will be of the 72-hole, 4-round variety.

Since its inception, LIV Golf events have featured a three-day 54-hole competition, playing the majority of events from Friday through Sunday. In 2026, all events will be played over four days, generally beginning on Thursday of event weeks (Wednesday, February 4 for LIV Golf Riyadh presented by ROSHN).

A mammoth NFL trade has happened during the deadline with the New York Jets sending 25-year-old All-Pro cornerback Sauce Gardner to the Indianapolis Colts. The deal was first reported by Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network.
The Colts are giving up two first round picks and WR Adonai Mitchell in exchange for the defensive back, which is an incredibly steep price given Gardner’s recent play.

After traveling to see the Iowa women’s basketball program on Oct. 25, Hawkeyes’ 2027 combo guard prospect Pressley Watkins shared photos from her unofficial visit to Iowa City.
At 6-foot, Watkins stars as a combo guard for Benilde-St. Margaret’s in St. Louis Park, Minn., where she is ranked as both the No. 2 combo guard and prospect in the state, according to PrepGirlsHoops. Watkins also plays club basketball for the Minnesota Fury and was a member of Nike EYBL’s All Iowa Attack over the summer.

ATLANTA (AP) — There were times during the Atlanta Braves’ 33-day search for a new manager that Walt Weiss thought “that ship had sailed” regarding his chances to move up from bench coach and replace Brian Snitker, who is transitioning to an advisor role with the franchise.
On Monday, he got the call he was hoping for from Atlanta general manager Alex Anthopoulos.
“We all know Alex, how thorough he is and how stealthy he is,” said Weiss, who spoke to reporters Tuesday for the first time as Braves manager after eight years as bench coach.

HARARE, Zimbabwe (AP) — Former Zimbabwe cricket captain Sean Williams won’t be selected for his country again after disclosing that a drug addiction was the reason he skipped some matches, the national federation said Tuesday.
Zimbabwe Cricket held an investigation into why Williams suddenly withdrew from the squad on the eve of a Twenty20 World Cup qualifying competition in September. During the investigation, “Williams disclosed that he has been struggling with drug addiction and has voluntarily entered rehabilitation,” ZC said in a statement.

Houston Fancher serves as an assistant coach and director of operations for North Carolina State under head coach Wes Moore. Fancher previously worked at Tennessee.
He served as an assistant to former Tennessee men’s basketball head coach Cuonzo Martin from 2009-13.
