The fallout of the NFL trade deadline continues to haunt the Pittsburgh Steelers — as the disappointing day becomes even harder to stomach with reports revealing that two wide receivers refused to play for the Steel City brand of football.
At the deadline, the Steelers were reportedly interested in trading for Rashid Shaheed and Jakobi Meyers — but both ultimately chose different landing spots than Pittsburgh.

HOMEWOOD, Ala. (AP) — Devontae Houston ran for 151 yards and two touchdowns and East Tennessee State beat Samford 38-14 on Saturday.
The Buccaneers (5-5, 3-3 Southern Conference) totaled 600 yards with 363 through the air and 237 on the ground.
ETSU’s Jacolby Criswell threw for 261 yards and two touchdowns, hitting Karim Page for 26 yards in the first quarter and tight end Charlie Browder from 10 yards in the third. Backup Ephraim Floyd connected with Xavier Gaillardetz for a 70-yard score on his only attempt.

As is customary for the Detroit Lions a day ahead of a game, the team executed some roster tinkering on Saturday before heading to Washington to face the Commanders in Week 10.
The Lions waived safety Jammie Robinson from the active roster. It was the first opportunity for Detroit to part ways with Robinson, whom they signed to the active roster off the Kansas City Chiefs’ practice squad on October 15th. Players signed off opposing practice squads must remain on the active 53-man roster for at least three weeks. Robinson did not play in his time in Detroit.

In front of a home crowd at Munn Ice Arena, Michigan State hockey completed an impressive weekend performance with a 5-0 win over No. 3 Penn State, earning a sweep. The win comes on the heels of a 2-1 overtime win on Friday night.
On Saturday afternoon, the Spartans dominated from start to finish. Outshooting the Nittany Lions 48-36, offensive pressure came early and often for MSU.
Charlie Stramel led the way for MSU with two goals, while adding two assists. Anthony Romani, Colin Ralph and Porter Martone all added goals in the game.
