J.J. Starling has been cleared to play.
The Daily Orange’s Aiden Stepansky reported the news Monday night.
The update comes in advance of Syracuse’s Tuesday night game against Monmouth, which will tip off at 9 p.m. ET.

Per an SU spokesperson, J.J. Starling is available for tomorrow’s game against Monmouth.

The Justin Fields experiment has ended for the New York Jets.
Veteran quarterback Tyrod Taylor, 36, has been named New York’s starter under center for the Jets’ upcoming game against the Baltimore Ravens on Sunday in Week 12.
The decision was announced on Monday, days after the Jets (2-8) lost in a 27-14 final to the New England Patriots (9-2) on “Thursday Night Football.”
In that outing, it was another poor game for Fields. He threw for only 116 yards. New York’s passing attack is ranked 32nd in yards per game (139.9).
Taylor is a longtime vet in the NFL.

The Oregon Ducks will be back in action against the Oregon State Beavers at Matthew Knight Arena on Monday night.
The Ducks enter with a 3-0 record, having taken down Hawaii, Rice and South Dakota State to begin their season. It hasn’t come easy, as each game has been in question until at least the final minutes. In the case of the season-opener against Hawaii, a Takai Simpkins layup in the final seconds pushed Oregon over the top.
On the other side, the Beavers also come in at 3-0, with all three wins coming in Corvallis at Gill Coliseum.

The Raiders won the toss and deferred which put the Cowboys offense on the field first.
Vegas had to be feeling great about that decision early on as the Cowboys went three and out to start the game. Matters seemed easy for them given that CeeDee Lamb and George Pickens were not on the field for Dallas which was strange. The ESPN broadcast noted as Dallas was taking the field for defense that Lamb and Pickens were absent due to a “coach’s decision” with an implication that it was some sort of disciplinary decision. We will see.

Browns quarterback Shedeur Sanders had his residence broken into during Sunday’s home game against the Baltimore Ravens in another surprising but familiar case of an athlete being targeted by burglars.
As confirmed by Cleveland.com’s Mary Kay Cabot, Sanders suffered the break-in on the same day he made his first appearance as QB1 after starter Dillon Gabriel sustained a concussion.
The 23-year-old joins a growing list of high-profile athletes hit by burglaries, including Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow, Dodgers ace Yoshinobu Yamamoto and Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes.
