BARCELONA, Spain (AP) — Barcelona will be back at the Camp Nou for its Spanish league match against Athletic Bilbao on Saturday.
The club announced Monday that 45,401 will be allowed at the venue for the team’s first match back since renovation began in 2023. The new Camp Nou will ultimately hold 105,000 fans.
Barcelona said it also hopes to play its Champions League match against Eintracht Frankfurt on Dec. 9 at the revamped stadium.
The return with partial capacity will be possible after the club secured some of the permits it needed to welcome fans at the venue again.

Penn State finally got a chance to celebrate a win for the first time since mid-September this past weekend. Penn State handed interim head coach Terry Smith his first career win with a strong defensive showing on the road against Michigan State, with the running game helping to pull away for the win on the road. Now, Penn State’s bowl chances look a little more optimistic heading into the final two games of the regular season.
Penn State will play its final home game of the season this weekend when it welcomes Matt Rhule and Nebraska to Beaver Stadium.

The Minnesota Vikings took a shot at the end zone to try to tie the game at the end of the first half in their Week 11 matchup against the Chicago Bears on Sunday. Vikings QB JJ McCarthy needed a pinpoint pass to hit receiver Jordan Addison for the touchdown, and instead he under-threw it, and suddenly it turned into a 50/50 ball. Bears cornerback Nahshon Wright made a spectacular play on the ball and grabbed the interception to keep the Vikings off the scoreboard.
The Bears beat the Vikings, 19-17, on Cairo Santos’ walk-off field goal.
