Only three race weekends remain on the 2025 Formula 1 calendar, and as luck would have it, only three drivers remain in contention for the 2025 Drivers’ Championship. George Russell was mathematically eliminated from title contention following the São Paulo Grand Prix, leaving just Lando Norris, Oscar Piastri, and Max Verstappen in the Drivers’ Championship race.
Here are the current standings, as well as a look at whether championship leader Norris could take the title at next week’s Las Vegas Grand Prix.

The New England Patriots‘ running back room is set to take another hit as Rhamondre Stevenson has been ruled out for Thursday’s game against the New York Jets.
Stevenson has been battling a toe injury that has caused him to miss the last two games. After a rough start to the season, the veteran running back was starting to turn a corner at the time of his injury. So far, he has recorded 83 carries for 279 yards and three touchdowns.
The injury to Stevenson means rookie TreVeyon Henderson will get the start for a third straight week.
Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes spoke with reporters on Wednesday during his press conference, sharing his thoughts on not winning the division at this point in the year.

Transgender researcher Joanna Harper said in a recent interview that Nike “pulled out” of funding a study on youth transgender athletes due to public pressure. This seems to contradict a statement that Nike previously gave OutKick regarding the study. A company executive told us in April, on background, that the study “was never initialized” and “is not moving forward.”
“The haters got wind of it,” Harper told Outsports, a website that advocates for trans-identifying males in girls’ and women’s sports.
