The Dallas Cowboys made a big-time statement on Sunday Night Football. They pummeled the reigning NFC Champion Philadelphia Eagles, 33-13. The only Eagles touchdown came on a Dak Prescott mistake — a lost fumble that led to a scoop-and-score.
Outside of that blemish, though, Prescott played another strong game. And, the betting market reacted. Prescott is now the consensus favorite to capture the NFL’s MVP award.
Although Prescott said after the game that he didn’t play his best, the numbers still looked solid. He threw for 271 yards, two touchdowns and no interceptions.

Bills tight end Dalton Kincaid may regret not catching one or two passes thrown his way in Sunday’s 20—17 win over the Chiefs, but the thing he might rue the most? Not noticing Taylor Swift.
Swift was seen walking by the Bills’ locker room huddle before Sunday’s game on her way to a suite. She glanced briefly at the group of Buffalo players but didn’t slow down, and in a few short seconds, she turned the corner and walked away.
Kincaid, who apparently is a huge Taylor Swift fan, lamented missing the opportunity to meet or talk to her.

I’ve never been more invested in any beef in football.
Seattle Seahawks WR/known sign language trash talker DK Metcalf had an up and down day on Sunday. He posted two catches for 52 yards and a touchdown, but only on five targets as the 49ers’ defense once again frustrated Metcalf and a Seahawks offense led by QB Drew Lock (Geno Smith was out due to injury) in a 28-16 Niners victory.
How frustrating was it? Well, after a Drew Lock interception by Fred Warner, Metcalf went to make a tackle, suplexing Warner (an incredible feat of strength if we’re being honest).

Current and former officials outlined why Kadarius Toney was called offsides in Bills-Chiefs
If you are reading this, odds are you are well aware of the dramatic ending to Sunday’s thrilling game between the Kansas City Chiefs and the Buffalo Bills.
However, as a brief refresher, here is a quick recap for those just getting caught up on the news. With the Chiefs trailing 20-17, it looked as if Kansas City had scored the go-ahead touchdown with just over a minute remaining, on what might have been the NFL’s Play of the Decade.

It’s a Monday in the middle of December and I’ve been up since 6 a.m. trying to find NASCAR content for you all.
I dare you to name me another writer in this great country doing that today. Don’t waste your time looking, because he/she/(they?)/(them?) don’t exist. I exist — albeit with a headache from yesterday’s round of golf — and I’m working my tail off for you today.
You ever tried to write about NASCAR in December? Ain’t easy. The banquet’s over. The season’s been over for over a month.

Lamar Jackson delivered an MVP-like performance in the win against the Rams to put the Ravens on the No. 1 seed line in the AFC again.
Jackson and the Ravens might not have the top spot for long if the Dolphins beat the Titans on Monday night. Baltimore, however, might have the most complete team in the AFC, especially with how well the offense played against the Rams.
The Chiefs have fallen two games behind in the race for the No. 1 seed after back-to-back losses to the Packers and Bills.

Cowboys cornerback Stephon Gilmore and Eagles wide receiver A.J. Brown exchanged some heated trash talk during Dallas’s 33—13 win over Philadelphia on Sunday night. The fact that Brown, one of the NFL’s best wideouts, didn’t run wild on the Cowboys is part of the reason they were able to emerge victorious. Dallas can thank Gilmore—and in a way—Brown, for that.
The Eagles wideout provided the Cowboys defender with some motivation through a comment he made on the first possession of the game.

Kirk Herbstreit is going on offense against his haters and critics.
The ESPN star was one of the biggest voices pushing for Florida State to be left out of the playoff after Jordan Travis’ injury, and that’s exactly what the committee did.
A one-loss Alabama team was selected for the fourth spot in the field over the 13-0 and ACC champs FSU Seminoles.
The decision lit the college football world on fire. People are absolutely livid, and for good reason. How does an undefeated P5 team get kept out? The anger is certainly justified, and a lot of that anger has been directed at Herbstreit.

Pat didn’t hold back.
It goes without saying that Patrick Mahomes was fired up after the game-defining offsides penalty on Kadarius Toney which wiped away the best touchdown of the season, effectively leading to a Bills win.
Mahomes has blasted the referees publicly, as did Andy Reid — but video of Mahomes meeting with Josh Allen post-game shows that the quarterback was venting to his competition as well.
