Jordan Love wasn’t about to let history repeat itself: After his first NFL start against the Chiefs in 2021 ended in disaster, the Packers QB put together a masterful performance Sunday night that did wonders for Green Bay’s playoff hopes.

Ohio State quarterback Kyle McCord, who started throughout the season for the Buckeyes, entered his name into the transfer portal Monday morning.
Most would have confidently predicted that Willie Fritz would end his coaching career at Tulane. Not only had the 63-year-old completely revitalized the program since taking over in 2016, but he quite literally said that he’d be retiring as the head coach of the Green Wave.
Things change, however, and they clearly did for Fritz as he was hired as the Houston Cougars’ head coach shortly after Tulane’s loss to SMU in the American Athletic Conference title game on Saturday.
At this time last year, I tagged Carlos Estévez as one of my biggest free agent bargains. Who? And why Estévez? After all, he was a 30-year-old relief pitcher with a career 4.59 ERA who fanned 23% of batters the previous year with Colorado—about league average.
Here’s why: 1. Get any pitcher out of the altitude of Colorado and you’re probably looking at improvement, and 2. Estévez throws with elite velocity from a low release point.
The Angels signed Estévez to a two-year, $13.5 million contract. Indeed, it was a bargain.
Succeeding in fantasy football is all about stats, trends and knowing how to analyze that information and using it to your advantage. While the NFL is a week-to-week league, which makes it difficult to predict anything with certainty (hello, Geno Smith’s 30 fantasy points at the Jerry Dome), here’s five things I learned from Week 13 that I’ll definitely be using when I set my fantasy lineups for fantasy’s Week 14.
Fantasy fans need postseason insurance
The fantasy playoffs are a week away, so it’s high time (and past time, really) to add insurance for your top running backs.
Dre Greenlaw and a Philly secured guard both got ejected during 49ers-Eagles.
The Philadelphia Eagles and San Francisco 49ers’ Week 13 showdown felt like a meeting of the two best teams in the NFC. The Eagles entered at 10-1, somehow finding a way to win week after week despite rarely playing their best football. The 49ers had three losses to their name, but had been looking like the best version of themselves lately with Deebo Samuel back in the lineup.
The 49ers beat the Eagles, 42-19. Philadelphia is still slotted in as the No.
Travis Kelce and the Chiefs fell to 8-4 on the season with a tough, 27-19, loss to the Packers at Lambeau Field on Sunday night.
The Chiefs seemed to have a few chances to put themselves in position in the final minute to get in the end zone and try to tie the game but a few tough no-calls didn’t go their way, including one that definitely looked like pass interference on the Packers.
Travis Kelce had four catches for 81 yards and no touchdowns in the Chiefs’ loss to the Packers.
D’Andre Swift got clobbered.
The San Francisco 49ers were already putting a hurting on the Philadelphia Eagles late in the fourth quarter of their Week 13 matchup when cornerback Deommodore Lenoir unleashed one of the most devastating hits of the 2023 NFL season.
As Eagles QB Jalen Hurts found D’Andre Swift going across the middle, Lenoir lowered his shoulder and dropped a massive hit on the veteran running back. This was a totally clean hit: below the shoulder and leading with the helmet. Watch the video here:

With the calendar turning to December, we finally have a good idea about potential playoff matchups.
The Cowboys appear to be the NFC’s fifth seed, but they can still push for the No. 1 seed if they beat the Eagles in Week 14. Dallas might need home field advantage to have a legitimate chance of making the Super Bowl.
But what about a potential matchup between Matthew Stafford and Jared Goff in the wild-card round? Both the Rams and Lions won in Week 13.
Let’s analyze a few potential playoff scenarios for this week’s “Fact or Fiction.

The Packers have their man … again.
It’s been over 30 years since the Green Pay Packers were without a franchise quarterback, and dammit if it’s not looking like they’re going to be set for the future once more.
Jordan Love pulled off the biggest win of his career on Sunday night as he led the Packers to a 27-19 win over the Chiefs on Sunday Night Football — and while the game was important in keeping Green Bay’s playoffs hopes alive, it’s far more about what this game represents.
