Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow was carted off with a calf injury on Thursday during training camp, coach Zac Taylor told reporters.
Video was released of the play that Burrow went down on and it appears that the quarterback was attempting to roll out to his right when he started limping from a non-contact injury. He sat on the ground, and some of his teammates came to check on him.
From there, medical staff ran onto the field to tend to him before he was eventually carted off the field.

On a play in the latter stages of practice Thursday, Burrow was scrambling to the near side of the field when he pulled up lame suffering a non-contact injury. After being tended to by members of the team’s training staff, he limped over to the cart and was driven off the field.

The Cincinnati Bengals, and their fans, are hoping for good news on Thursday after receiving a bit of a scare. During Thursday’s training camp practice, quarterback Joe Burrow pulled up on a play after moving out of the pocket, and seemed to favor his right leg before going to the turf.
After medical staff checked on the Cincinnati passer, he was carted off the field.
Cardiologist Merije Chukumerije of Cedars-Sinai Medical Group released a statement Thursday, sharing an update on Bronny James’s condition after the USC freshman was transported to the hospital following a cardiac arrest on Monday morning.
“Thanks to the swift and effective response by the USC athletics’ medical staff, Bronny James was successfully treated for a sudden cardiac arrest,” the statement read, via Shams Charania of The Athletic. “… Mr. James was cared for promptly by highly trained staff and has been discharged home, where he is resting.
