The Pittsburgh Steelers‘ courtship of quarterback Aaron Rodgers continued over the weekend.
NFL Network’s Mike Garafolo reported Monday morning that Rodgers had a throwing session with new Steelers wide receiver DK Metcalf at UCLA in recent days.
Pittsburgh acquired Metcalf in a trade with the Seahawks earlier in the offseason, adding another pass-catching weapon to its offense to pair with fellow receiver George Pickens and tight end Pat Freiermuth. He’s already putting in the work to recruit his new team’s potential new starting quarterback.

New general manager Chad Bowden and USC already have the No. 1-ranked recruiting class in the country for the 2026 cycle. Over the weekend, that class got even bigger with the addition of three-star defensive lineman Malik Brooks.
Brooks is quite literally a massive addition to USC’s class. Despite still being a junior in high school, he is already 6’4″ and weighs 330 pounds.
Brooks is a local product, coming to USC from nearby Downey, California. 247Sports Composite ranks him as the No. 785 overall player and the No. 77 defensive lineman in the class of 2026.
Both Brighton and Aston Villa have hopes of qualifying for the Champions League and this should be a beauty of a game at the Amex on Wednesday.

Fabian Hurzeler’s Brighton are smarting after losing their FA Cup quarterfinal at home to Nottingham Forest on penalty kicks, as the Seagulls were defeated on Saturday after a bruising 120 minutes. Ilia Topuria has said the UFC ‘promised’ his next fight will be for the lightweight title, after he vacated the featherweight belt in February.
While Topuria had hinted in recent months that he could move up to 155lb in a bid to win a second title, his decision to vacate the 145lb gold came as a surprise. It led to Alexander Volkanovski vs Diego Lopes being booked for 12 April, as the pair clash for the vacant featherweight strap in the main event of UFC 314.
Meanwhile, Topuria does not know when he will next enter the Octagon, but he does appear to know what the stakes will be.

After a strong weekend in China, Haas heads to the Japanese Grand Prix with some momentum
Formula 1 is back this week, with the Japanese Grand Prix.
For the team at Haas, there is energy in the air following a “successful” Chinese Grand Prix.
Both Oliver Bearman and Esteban Ocon finished in the points in Shanghai, and as a result, Haas heads to Suzuka sitting sixth in the F1 Constructors’ Championship standings, just three points behind Williams, and Ferrari.

PALM BEACH — Zach Wilson was specifically targeted as a backup for Tua Tagovailoa, Miami Dolphins coach Mike McDaniel said Monday.
“I guess you guys wouldn’t know this,” McDaniel said at the NFL owners’ meetings at The Breakers. “I guess you guys are flying blind, so let me help you out. He was a direct, calculated target.”
McDaniel believes in Wilson’s talent. He believed in what he saw when he studied Wilson as a draft prospect at BYU.
“We drafted a quarterback in San Francisco the year he came out,” McDaniel said.
