The story of Florida State’s improvement in 2023 starts and ends with quarterback Jordan Travis.
As the Seminoles progressed from a 10-3 team to a 10-0 team, Travis improved from a good quarterback into a Heisman contender. He entered Saturday having thrown 20 touchdowns against just two interceptions on the season.
However, Travis exited Florida State’s game against North Alabama Saturday in catastrophic fashion.

ESPN college football analyst Dan Mullen asked one simple question late on Saturday afternoon:
“Are we sure that they have the right coach on the hot seat in LA,” Mullen posted on X.
Mullen’s post was sent in the midst of UCLA blowing the doors off USC, a game which the Bruins won 38–20 at the Coliseum to send the Trojans cratering to a 7-5 record.
All week, the focus was on reports of Chip Kelly’s job security at UCLA, as he entered the game against the rival Trojans squarely on the hot seat.

However, Pavia is also something else—an accomplished former wrestler for Albuquerque’s Volcano Vista High School.
On Saturday, he demonstrated his grappling chops with a vicious slam on Tigers cornerback Nehemiah Pritchett.

An Indiana Hoosiers cheerleader absolutely obliterated the competition in a St. Elmo’s shrimp cocktail eating contest during the team’s game against the Michigan State Spartans.
Hopefully, a nice bottle of Pepto or a handful of Tums was nearby.
The competition appeared to consist of some band members and a cheerleader and it saw them gobbling shrimp and sucking down as much St. Elmo cocktail sauce as they possibly could.
Shrimp cocktail might be one of the last foods I’d ever wanted to eat a lot of in a short period of time.
