Netflix recently released season one of “Quarterback.” It’s a documentary series — created in partnership with Peyton Manning’s production company, Omaha Productions –that follows several NFL QBs throughout last season. The quarterbacks featured are Patrick Mahomes, Kirk Cousins and Marcus Mariota. Netflix is planning a season two, but several quarterbacks — including Tua Tagovailoa, Justin Fields and Jalen Hurts — declined opportunities to participate.

Earlier this year the NBA and NBA Player’s Association agreed on a new collective bargaining agreement that state players will no longer be drug tested for weed and be allowed to invest in marijuana companies. Players that indulge in the devil’s lettuce may want to send a thank you note to Kevin Durant.
Durant, who has openly discussed his use of weed in the past, recently explained that he called NBA commissioner Adam Silver to get the ball rolling on removing marijuana from the league’s banned substance list.

There have been 24 Super Bowls played this millennium featuring 48 teams and only five teams have returned to the game the year after an appearance. Which brings us to the Philadelphia Eagles and their coach Nick Sirianni
Sirianni is a pretty good coach and he knows everyone in Philly wants to see the Eagles back in the Super Bowl this season after their loss to the Kansas City Chiefs in Super Bowl LVII.
So obviously that’s the prize, right?

With just over six weeks until he makes his much-anticipated Jets debut, quarterback Aaron Rodgers spoke about his future with the team, letting the football world know that they should get used to seeing the four-time MVP in his new shade of green.
“I’m having a blast,” Rodgers said of his training camp with his new team, per Jets reporter Ethan Greenberg. “I don’t see this as a one year-and-done thing.”
It’s just the latest in what’s become a consistent theme with Rodgers in regards to his New York future.

Chicago Cubs outfielder Seiya Suzuki made quite the web gem Tuesday night in a matchup with their crosstown rival White Sox.
In the seventh inning, White Sox third baseman Yoan Moncada blasted a ball to right field with the bases loaded and nobody out. But Suzuki tracked back to make an outstanding catch, reaching over the wall to bring back what would have been a grand slam and turning instead into a harmless sacrifice fly. And while the Cubs did hold a six-run edge at the time, Suzuki’s catch certainly made what ended in a 7–3 victory for the Cubs a bit more secure.

San Francisco 49ers receiver Deebo Samuel has been working hard during the offseason, and according to his head coach Kyle Shanahan, he’s more than happy to share his progress.
While Samuel is a key piece of the 49ers offense, the self-described “wide back” wasn’t impressed by his performance in 2022.
“I don’t think Deebo had to be that harsh on himself to you guys, but it was cool to watch,” Shanahan said, per NBC Sports.

Bills wide receiver Stefon Diggs spoke with reporters Wednesday for the first time about why he missed the first day of Buffalo’s mandatory minicamp in June.
The three-time Pro Bowler stated his absence was due to “family” issues. Diggs also added he and McDermott had a conversation about the situation but that he prefers to keep things “in house.”
“I attributed it to family matters,:” Diggs said, per ESPN’s Alaina Getzenberg. “I don’t like dancing around things… Everybody has family matters. We had a conversation.

F1 expands partnership with all-female racing series
Formula 1 debuted the F1 Academy for the 2023 season, an all-female series. Consisting of five teams with three drivers each, the aim of the F1 Academy is to “develop and prepare young female drivers to progress to higher levels of competition.”
The F1 Academy announced a seven-race schedule for the 2023 season, with the final race of the season slated for Austin the weekend of F1’s United States Grand Prix.
