Smith opined that Butler, whose team faces a 2–1 deficit to the Nuggets in the NBA Finals, isn’t the right fit to be the best player on a championship team.
“Jimmy is a star, make no mistake about it, and he’s a closer … but as JJ Redick pointed out the other day, a lot of his successes is predicated on getting to the free throw line,” Smith said.

Carlos Alcaraz flashed one of the greatest winners you will ever see in tennis.
But Novak Djokovic had the last laugh.
Alcaraz’s winner in the second set drew praise all over social media, and left even Djokovic impressed, but it was the third-seeded Djokovic won carried the day, winning 6-3, 5-7, 6-1, 6-1.

Novak Djokovic defeated Carlos Alcaraz in the French Open semifinals 6–3, 5–7, 6–1, 6–1, clinching a spot in the French Open finals. On Sunday, Djokovic will not only be playing for a third French Open title, but also a 23rd Grand Slam championship, which would pass Rafael Nadal for most all-time.
With the victory, Djokovic will play for his third French Open and record-breaking 23rd Grand Slam title on Sunday.
The match was tied at one set each when Alcaraz cramped up in the final point of the second game in the third set.
