When the ACC announced a broadcast rights deal with the CW, it seemed like a curious pairing. How many people even know where to find the network on their television? It ranks as the 29th most popular TV network in the U.S., between A&E and We TV, but it’s hoping that the ACC can bring additional eyeballs.
The network’s college football broadcasts are a great opportunity for the CW to promote the rest of its programming to a new audience.
Things were already set to be interesting for the Grizzlies, who will be without suspended star Ja Morant for 25 games to begin the season. Then, on Sunday, the club released a bit of news that legitimately might knock Memphis from contender status: Starting center Steven Adams, who missed the back half of last season with a right knee injury, will miss the entire 2023–24 season.
That might sound like an overreaction for a talented group like the Grizz, who still have reigning Defensive Player of the Year Jaren Jackson Jr.

DeChambeau’s Crushers GC won the LIV Golf Team Championship but it was his statement afterward that stood out.
The 2023 LIV Golf season has come to an end.
Bryson DeChambeau’s Crusher GC team came out on top to win the team championship in Miami. They won the team event by two strokes as the Crushers posted a collective 11-under score, beating the RangeGoats, who came in second place.
Anirban Lahiri paced the team, posting a bogey-free 7-under 65 with five birdies and an eagle.

Formula 1 is rarely, if ever, without controversy.
Sunday’s United States Grand Prix offered just the latest example. The close of the race saw Lewis Hamilton cross the line in second place, seemingly notching another podium and a critical result for Mercedes in their fight with Ferrari for second place in the Constructors’ Championship. Speaking of Ferrari, Charles Leclerc came across in sixth place, which would have meant critical points for the Scuderia in that very fight.
Christian McCaffrey will be in the lineup on Monday night.
A unique method UTSA football coach Jeff Traylor used to keep his team focused ended up literally injuring him.
The Roadrunners defeated the Florida Atlantic Owls 36-10 Saturday, marking their third straight win. UTSA started the year rather slowly but seemed to have found an identity during this stretch of victories.
Traylor saw this quick rebound as an opportunity to make sure his team stayed focused during this turnaround. Most coaches would just state some sort of catchy mantra for his team to remember, but Traylor got a little creative.

LeBron James has mentioned several times that he wants to play with his firstborn son, Bronny, in the NBA. And in August 2022, he admitted he has thought about playing with his younger son, Bryce, as well.
With that in mind, the Lakers great appeared to double down on his goal of playing alongside both sons in a new commercial released Monday.
During the ad for Beats By Dre, James is seen wearing the popular headphones while his wife, Savannah, narrates the commercial. At the 1:30 mark, she hints that James will play with both Bronny and Bryce.

During the second quarter of the Philadelphia Eagles’ game against the Miami Dolphins Sunday night, the rookie defensive lineman put on quite a performance for the referees.
It started when Carter got into it with Miami O-lineman Austin Jackson. Carter threw a couple of extracurricular shoves at Jackson, and he responded by lightly jack-knifing Carter around the neck. Knowing an official was watching, Carter dramatically flung his body backward into the turf as if he just got hit by a truck.
